I have been agonising over this for the last week, but this morning I have made the decision to suspend bell target club for the next fortnight.

My mind was made up after watching this interview:

Possibly the most useful thing I've seen since returning from our trip.

Bell Target isn't essential and until we have more information, I don't believe we should take any unnecessary risk.

If you have any opinions on this decision, please share them with me. I have made the decision unilaterally and hope it is the right one.

This week, I'll be having a chrono session during coffee. I'll bring my skan along as it's quicker to use. If any members are using or intend to use guns which haven't been tested, please let me know at the start of the evening, that way I can sort paperwork and it will make the process much quicker.

Bingo night is currently suspended, so we have the use of the hall for every Tuesday from now on until further notice.

A quick note on competition night. It isn't compulsory to participate in the competition. If you want to just shoot for fun with a rifle that doesn't meet the criteria for the competition, that's absolutely fine. Personally I would recommend having a go with something that you don't normally shoot and don't worry too much about your score being good enough to enter the comp. Just enjoy it.

Another great evening, last night. Fifteen shooting including a guest shooter from waveney. Hope you enjoyed Rob.

Congratulations to Ron for achieving an incredible personal best of 40.7. You k what you've got to do next, Ron.

A cracking evening last night, good turn out from the juniors. Some excellent shooting with the bell ringing regularly and some new personal bests. Fantastic to see how their technique and concentration has come on in just three short weeks. Terry will now be adding the junior's scores to the web site.

Also superb turn out from the "olds", sixteen shooters turned out on this cold evening. Recently, I've enjoyed the peace and quiet of shooting next to Malc, last night though I had a shock as the bell started to ring. Nice shooting Malc.

No shooting next week, but following week we should have the new stands and an additional target giving us four, if required.

Couple of upcoming dates for your diaries:

Kempton Militaria and arms fair. 22nd March.

We were hoping to attract one or two hundred visitors, but to our amazement nearly 600 people passed through the turnstile in the first half an hour. Most of these continually returned to their vehicles with smiling faces and purchases over their shoulder.
