🎾 Fantastic 2026 League Start for Gorleston Tennis Club

The tennis league season got started in early May, and it has been a fantastic opening few weeks for Gorleston Tennis Club.

Our Men’s A, Men’s B and Ladies teams have all been putting in brilliant performances and representing the club so well 👏

Men’s A Team
After promotion last season, the Men’s A team have made a flying start in their new division and are now sitting top of the league. A brilliant effort from the team, building on last year’s momentum.

Results so far:
✅ Won, Gorleston A 2-0 Acle D
✅ Won, Aylsham C 0-2 Gorleston A
🤝 Draw, Gorleston A 1-1 Cromer D
✅ Won, Wymondham B 0-2 Gorleston A

Ladies Team
The Ladies team are still going strong and are looking to build and improve on last season. They are also currently sitting top of the league, which is a fantastic achievement.

Results so far:
✅ Won, Reepham Ladies C 0-2 Gorleston Ladies
✅ Won, Cringleford Ladies C 0-2 Gorleston Ladies
✅ Won, Gorleston Ladies 2-0 Stanmore Ladies C

Men’s B Team
Our newly formed Men’s B team are currently sitting 2nd in the league, with new partnerships developing and several members getting involved in competitive tennis for the first time.

Results so far:
✅ Won, Aylsham D 0-2 Gorleston B
✅ Won, Gorleston B 2-0 UEA A
❌ Lost, Gorleston B 0-2 David Lloyd B
❌ Lost, Brooke C 2-0 Gorleston B
✅ Won, Gorleston B 2-0 Wymondham C

🎾 Cardio Tennis at GLTC, would you be interested?

We are looking at expanding sessions at Gorleston Lawn Tennis Club, and we’d love to find out if there would be interest in a Thursday morning Cardio Tennis session.

Cardio Tennis is a fun, energetic tennis-based fitness session. It’s a great way to get moving, hit some balls, and enjoy tennis in a relaxed group setting.

Looking for a fun way to keep the kids active this May half-term?

National Tennis Association are running a Junior Tennis Camp at Gorleston Tennis Club for children aged 5 to 10 years.

The camp includes team challenges, tennis skills, games and prizes. It is perfect for beginners and children looking to build confidence on court.

🎾 French Open Doubles Grand Slam Event at GLTC

Join us at Gorleston Tennis Club for a fun French Open themed social doubles event on:

📅 Saturday 6th June 2026
⏰ 2.30pm to 5.30pm
📍 Gorleston Tennis Club, Orde Avenue, NR31 6SZ

This event is aimed at adult intermediate players. As long as you can hold a rally from the back of the court, you’ll be absolutely fine.

You can enter as a pair, or come along on your own and we’ll pair everyone up on the day.

Cost:
£11

Please bring your racket, water, and suitable clothing for the weather. Rackets are available to borrow if needed.

There are 16 spaces available, so book early to secure your place.

Come and Try Tennis starts today! 🎾

Our Come and Try sessions begin today, Friday 24th April, and will then run every Friday in May from 6pm until dark.

These sessions are a great chance to come along and give tennis a go in a relaxed and friendly setting. You can turn up at any time, and whether you come to just one session or all six, you’ll be very welcome.

✅ Open to all levels
✅ Balls and racquets provided
✅ No need to commit to every session

Whether you’re completely new to tennis, a bit rusty, or already play, we’d love to see you down at the club.
