🏡 Have Your Say on the Future of Beach Coach Station Car Park

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is inviting residents and stakeholders to take part in a public consultation on proposals for the next phase of the Beach Coach Station residential housing scheme.

The proposed development could deliver around 90 high-quality homes, including both general needs housing and independent living accommodation for older people.

Come along to the drop-in consultation event to view the plans, ask questions and share your feedback before any formal planning application is submitted.

The Repair Cafe is a community-led pilot project with volunteers that can help repair, mend or fix broken items, including clothing, furniture, crockery, battery operated items, housewares, toys and electrical items.

Come along to the Repair Cafe at Shrublands, grab a free drink and help stop items going into landfill.

Another season celebrated last night at the AGM with 14 present and 8 out of 9 teams represented.

Thank you to everyone for supporting the League and here’s looking forward to next season already.

So the season has finished - our AGM is on Tuesday 26 May at Bracecamp Hall… Lots of medals to be handed out and planning for the future…. Everyone welcome

So that’s it! The end of the season, concluding with the division 2 singles and doubles.

7 players entered the singles - Veronica, Steve, Tim, Graham, Cathy, David and Sean from just two teams in the division, Scratby and Bracecamp B. Each player played each other and the players winning the most matches were David (unbeaten winning all 6) and Sean (winning 5 out of 6). It just shows that age is no barrier in table tennis!!! Congratulations to David, a worthy winner.

Then followed the doubles - the husband and wife duo of Cathy and Graham, Steve and Tim and finally Veronica and Sean.

All the matches were really close with Steve and Tim emerging victorious winning both their matches, and Veronica and Sean coming second.

All matches were played in great spirits - thanks to everyone who has contributed in the League this season - looking forward to next season already!
