Weekend of the 30 April i was awarded my 8th Dan.
Three of us attended a safeguarding course a requirement of our insurance. Also us three plus Master Stephen from Taipan Combat a club we are closely alined with all obtained our level three instructors award.

Our hoped for planned early in January reopening is not going to happen Im afraid. Part of a good martial artist is to know when to back off the same as when to attack I think at the moment we hold back and come back stronger when it is safe to do so.

Escrima exercise, because of the restricted movement in my shoulders I can not show it off to the best but you can see the movement. Do this with no sticks just arm to arm and it becomes another strengthening exercise combineit with the inner outer forearm so it all flows into one and it becomes a real toughening exercise.

Number 6 and 7 and look at the 2nd form. When I was training in the Shetlands with some very nice guys in a Wadaru Karate club Sensei Chris as we went into free sparing said use some of your stuff if you want to. I threw a left jab and a lazy right cross he parried the jab grabbed the right cross and I took him Down with No 6 we are still good friends.
