📣We are delighted to announce that this year, we will be raising money for Nelson's Journey 📣
Nelson’s Journey is the only specialist child bereavement support service open to all families in Norfolk.
Over recent years, Nelson’s Journey has continued to see a significant increase in referrals received, receiving over 700 referrals a year.
Support delivered through our interventions encourages children and young people to remember the person who has died, express their feelings, understand their emotions, meet others going through a similar experience and learn coping strategies to help them move forward more positively in life.
Since 1997, Nelson’s Journey has been supporting children and young people in Norfolk with their bereavement needs, helping them understand and cope with their feelings. The charity also supports professionals who work with children, such as teachers and health workers, to help raise awareness of issues affecting bereaved children.
Nelson’s Journey’s vision is that every bereaved child in Norfolk will look forward to a positive future, empowered to reach their full potential. Outcomes for bereaved children can include reduced sense of isolation, improved communication with parent/carer, and increased self-esteem and confidence.
