A MESSAGE FROM THE TEAM AT IRON WAREHOUSE đź–¤
As news of Sam’s passing began to filter through this morning, Iron Warehouse was a very sombre place.
Throughout the gym, people were stopping to talk, reflect and share their own positive memories of Sam. It quickly became apparent just how many people’s lives he had touched and the impact he had made within our local community.
Sam was someone who threw himself wholeheartedly into anything that could bring positivity to others.
If there was a charity event happening locally, you could almost guarantee Sam would be involved — often leading from the front. Whether it was the Retro Games Race at the Out There Festival, going into schools to educate and entertain children about the Romans, or supporting one of the many other local causes and events he was involved with, Sam brought energy, enthusiasm and smiles wherever he went.
On behalf of everyone at Iron Warehouse, our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Sam’s family, friends and everyone who knew and loved him.
His passing is also a reminder of something incredibly important: you never have to struggle alone.
Iron Warehouse might be a gym, but it has always been much more than four walls and somewhere to train. We are a community.
If you’re struggling, our door is open. You don’t need to know what to say or have the right words. Sometimes sitting down with someone, having a coffee, training together or simply talking can be the first step.
Please look out for one another, and never be afraid to reach out when you need someone.
