🟢⚫⚪️ HELP NEEDED ACROSS THE WHOLE CLUB ⚫🟢⚪️

Torrington RFC is looking for people who can offer some time, energy or expertise to help us keep moving the club forward.

A rugby club is about far more than the teams on the pitch. Help is welcome across every part of Torrington RFC, whether you can support us regularly, occasionally, on matchdays or behind the scenes.

At the moment, we particularly need:

🏉 Under-7 Assistant Coach
🏉 Under-11 Lead and Assistant Coaches
🏉 Under-15 Assistant Coach
🏉 Colts Coach
🏉 Senior Men’s Player-Coach
🤝 Sponsorship & Commercial Lead

We would also love to hear from anyone who could help with matchdays, events, fundraising, media and social media, grounds work or general jobs around the club.

For many roles, enthusiasm and reliability matter more than previous experience. Coaching support, mentoring and help with the relevant checks and qualifications will be available where required.

Torrington RFC is looking for someone proactive and confident to help drive the club forward off the field.

This is a flexible volunteer role, supported by the committee and yours to shape.

🚨 REVISED COLTS FIXTURES | 2026/27 🚨

Following the delayed start to the season, here is the amended fixture list for Torrington RFC’s returning Colts side.

Our first Colts team in 15 years will begin its season away to Bideford in a friendly on Saturday 3 October, before welcoming Exmouth to Donnacroft for our first home fixture on Saturday 17 October.

Player sponsorship is now available for players across our Senior Men and Colts squads this season.

For £250, a business, employer, family member or supporter can sponsor a chosen player for the full 2026/27 season, helping Torrington RFC meet the costs of getting our players onto the pitch.

Your sponsorship includes:

🧹 CLUB CLEAN UP DAY 2026 🏉💚

It’s time to roll up our sleeves and help get Torrington RFC looking its very best ahead of the new season!

🕤 Starting at 9:30am

Whether you can spare an hour or stay all morning, every pair of hands makes a huge difference. If you have any of the tools listed on the poster, please bring them along.

As a thank you, we’ll have bacon rolls, tea and coffee waiting for all volunteers. ☕🥓

Our club is built by its members, players, parents, supporters and volunteers, and together we can keep it looking something we’re all proud of.

And that’s a wrap on our free TRC Girls Taster Sessions! 🏉

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and got involved. It’s been brilliant to see so many girls giving rugby a go, building confidence, learning new skills and, most importantly, having fun.

Over the sessions we’ve covered footwork, passing and catching, kicking, effective communication and, of course, plenty of tackling!
We hope you’ve all enjoyed it as much as we have! We hope to see you back on the pitch for registration day on the 12th September for the start of our brand new girls rugby team at TRFC for Under 12s
