This week we took deliver of two Dawes Spire 2.0 E-Bikes for our outlet at Smytham Holiday Park.

A great additional to our fleet, fully kitted with lights, stand and panniers, perfect for a days exploring.

We delivered them in person on a trial ride up the Tarka Trail to Charlotte ready for the first booking soon.

Congratulations to Smytham Holiday Park, which was named the best site for cycling in our Top 100 Sites Guide 2026!

The site offers direct access to the Tarka Trail. During the main season, two outdoor heated pools are open, as is Smythies’ Bar.

Celebrate Naturally Healthy May with our free adult cycle training!

Across May, Active Devon is offering free sessions to get your confidence back on two wheels, allowing you to explore more of Devon and connect actively to nature.

Cycle Confidence sessions: Saturday 23 May

All sessions are completely free of charge, including bike and helmet rental, and take place in groups of up to 3. Slots are available between 10am and 4pm.

Now the weather is finally improving, you might want to consider giving your bike an overhaul.

Whether you have been riding on wet and dirty roads with mud, grit and other debris or using it occasionally, it’s always a good idea to keep your bike clean.

Any dirt or grit that’s on the moving components of your bike can start to wear and damage them.

By giving it a good clean and oiling the chain, you'll notice how much quicker and smoother your bike feels to ride.

What a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend it’s been at Torrington Cycle Hire and the good weather looks set to continue over the Easter school holidays.

We have a great range of cycles, tagalongs, buggies and dog carriers available.

Our fleet of 4 Raleigh E-Bikes are very popular and booking advisable. We have now added an E-Trike to our fleet.

Free parking for ‘Cycle Hiring’ customers on site.

We also offer cycle repairs, servicing and spares.

Light refreshments, hot & cold beverages and the best Magnum Selection for miles around 😋can be enjoyed relaxing inside or outside.
