Meols Milers Run Club

We always pick a local charity each year to benefit from our own little fundraisers. This year we had a summer social and raised money for Friends of Hoylake and Meols in Bloom to help keep Hoylake blooming marvellous!

So we visited some of the highlights last night, aren’t they fabulous? We’ve enjoyed some fantastic flowers all summer 💐

Claire led everyone in a great run too despite the wind! 😃

I’ve been forced onto the sidelines this week thanks to an injury 😔

Luckily, the runners have been in very safe hands with Claire and Rob stepping up to look after everyone and keep the Meols Milers moving. 💪

A huge thank you to both of you for leading the runs, keeping everyone motivated and making sure the show goes on! 👏

And of course, well done to all our runners this week including some new faces who joined us last night 🙌🏻

What is this stuff falling from the sky? 😂

It brings back memories of our wet winter 🙈 But it was pretty refreshing tonight while we tackled some 5k and 10k pacing loops 🙌🏻

It’ll be windy I said, we will head away from the prom 🙈🥴

Actually it wasn’t too bad so we stayed out and did a run that took in the beach, the prom, the cinder path, follow my leader sprints and Fartleks! We like a bit of variety 😂

Although climbing the hills was hard work 🥵

Always happy to help Wirral Ark. They do such amazing work helping people turn their lives around. ❤️

We were delighted to hear from Meols Milers Run Club recently who organised a food collection for us after hearing about our call for some non-perishable food items for our residents. Ann from the club came by today to drop off their donations.

It’s brilliant to see a local run club putting their miles into making a difference in their community. Their generosity will help us support people who are experiencing homelessness, providing much-needed food and essentials when they need them most.

From running together to giving together, thank you for going the extra mile for Wirral Ark 💚

Another lovely evening for a run, taking in the back roads of Meols and across the fields. Lots of chatting and catching up was great to hear 😊
