Ripple Cup action!! 24 pairs took part in this one on Saturday, which is always highly unpredictable and we love it!!! After the group stages, and 3 rounds of knockouts, the main final was Roch Mirski & Martin L v Stu Ramsay & James Laidler. Roch showing some quality ground strokes, and Martin, a demon at the net, won the title!! In the plate final, John Gammond & Davide beat Chris Skinner & Nicky Jones in a really tight set. Big thanks to Jos for sponsoring the event again, and everyone who took part, and watched! Next up, The Fabotastic Mixed Tourno on 26th September!

What an absolute humdinger of a day!! Quality tennis, great sportsmanship, buzzing atmosphere, delicious pizzas, a mass of supporters, and home made cakes (thank you Catherine! 💖) What a day!! Huge thanks to Nikki Browne for all her hard work and photography skills under the winners arch. Geoff Titmuss & Rachel Prudden for all their admin (and diplomacy) skills from round one. This is a huge one!! This wasn’t the final the bookies had predicted, but going to be one of the most exciting ones on Saturday! Georgie Cupper & Caro FS produced an incredible performance in the semis to defeat Katy Lewin & Daisy Williams. And taking on Nikki Clarke & Leila in the final. None of these players have won this before, so whoever wins, will defo be one of the most popular titles of the day. (Actually, that’s wrong!! Nikki won it way back in 2013. She looks way too young for that to be true!) Kick off 2.30pm on Saturday. And let’s do a little shout out to Penny Smith who has a record 7 wins in the Ladies Doubles!

Some incredible tennis last night in the men’s doubles semi final, with Charlie Titmuss & Liam Manning coming back from the brink of defeat a couple of times, to beat Chris Skinner & Phil Mifflin 4-6, 7-6, 6-4. The crowd were loving the tennis so much, well played everyone. The final will see them face off against Ollie Ruddick & Paul Burgess at 2.30pm Saturday.
