Our special recognition award this year goes to our amazing Lauren Bishop.

Lauren has put so much into her tennis over the last year that I can’t really put into words as it won’t do it justice.

Our little pocket rocket has grown in so many ways….
She’s found her voice, her confidence has grown ten fold and her level of play has been a complete transformation. A superstar for our junior teams and one of the kindest souls I’ve ever had the privilege of coaching.

Well deserved Lauren and looking forward to watching you grow even more!

Sunday saw a day that always leaves me speechless and just beyond proud.

Our 5th Junior finals day produced probably the best tennis we’ve seen and on such a glorious sunny day!

Our tournament results were:

Mini Orange:

Winner- Joe Rudd
Runner Up- Ralph De Moor

Under 12s:

Winner- Finn Rudd
Runner Up- Hamish Mallinson

Under 18 Boys:

Winner- Oscar Kearney
Runner Up- Joe Coleman

On Saturday our green team took to the courts after the summer off to play an incredibly strong Stebbing team in the Halstead and District League.

All matches were very close and it was a pleasure to watch all 8 players on both teams.

Stebbing came away with the well earned victory and such a lovely set of players and parents.

Well played all and our team have one more match of the season to go!

Last weekend 9 incredible pairs took to the courts for our second adult doubles competition.
The sun shone the whole day and every match was played with fun and laughter.
After the group stages the final was better Jack/Oscar v Nick/Stuart with Jack and Oscar taking the victory and the trophy! Well done to all!
A fantastic event and already counting down to next year!

No tip this week as having a well earned week off work!

However having the body getting rest after a busy period is very very important.

So our junior summer camps come to an end and we’ve had the delight of seeing just over 170 children with 50 new to the camps!
It’s been a fantastic summer and well done to all the kids and a huge thank you to the best coaching team ever!
Now a well earned week off with family!
