Congratulations to our students who have recently passed their white belt gradings. Well done for all your commitment, determination and practice. You all demonstrated these self defence techniques superbly on the night. Congratulations!

Huge congratulations to our wonderful students Larna and Harry, who recently graded for their white belt.

They both performed incredibly well under pressure, displaying wonderful techniques, lots of intention and quick reaction times. Their training partner, Rex also graded and we will get a picture with him next week - he was superb too.

Well done to you all - something to really be proud of!

Hearty congratulations to our students on recently passing their white belts. They have put in a lot of time, effort and practice to get to this stage and all performed a superb grading.

Oh those Summer nights!! A warm session last night at Great Dunmow Ju-Jitsu Club.

All credit to our students who give it their all - every night.

Our younger class are also progressing really well with solid techniques being developed consistently. They are always keen to learn more and we couldn't have a better group with us.

Great Dunmow Ju-Jitsu Club has recently had the pleasure of hosting our first seminar.

We welcomed masters from Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Kung Fu and Krav Maga to show students a glimpse of what makes each of these styles so wonderful and unique. We then had an opportunity to demonstrate some Japanese Ju-Jitsu techniques as well.

Feedback on the day was that the styles had lots of similarities but were totally different - just the way they should be!

There is much to appreciate within all different styles of martial arts. We learned loads on the day, made new connections and had fun.

Sincere thanks to all who gave up their time to teach (Rob Ikel, Billy Roytman and Elliot Langdorf)
and the students for showing their respect to all styles.

We were also able to raise a little money for St Clare’s Hospice in the process.

Eagerly looking forward to the next one and keen to see even more styles.

Whilst in Liverpool recently, we had the good fortune of visiting South Sefton Ju Jitsu and Kobudo Academy.

Pictured below is Sensei Peter Cailceta (red gi) and Sensei Kevin Gaynor (blue gi).

We had a great night up there with a warm reception from the whole club. Thanks to all of you for the welcome you gave us.

We hope to return the favour one day, or at least look to work together on something in the near future.

A lovely family oriented club with much to teach anyone who walks through their doors.

Here at Great Dunmow Ju Jitsu Club, we've just celebrated our first anniversary!

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful students (and parents of students) that make this club what it is.

Our younger class all are making good progress and picking up skills which we continually refine. We have some very determined young people indeed and this is a pleasure to see. We've also been lucky enough to organise a couple of fun activities along the way with the younger class.

Our adults class have made exceptional progress together and are always up for challenging themselves and learning new skills as we go. Hats off to you!

Another great night of learning at club. Another very sincere thank you to ALL of our students for their enthusiasm and for bringing their best efforts to the lesson.

Eight weeks in and we are moving along in our formation phase. We are making really good progress and every session sees us evolve from what was a group of strangers into a 'club'.

Thanks to all students, and the parents of the earlier class too. See you next week!

Great night last night! Thanks to all students (adults and children) who make this such a wonderful environment to learn in.

We are 6 weeks in and noticing students' progress each week. Hope that you feel it too.

Next week, we'll be mixing things up a little for the younger class, and with the adults we'll have a good focus on syllabus with a little street work at the end.
