This week is rimfire's , in 40 years I have made stocks for straight pull rifle's but never a rimfire until last year when 2 came along together my first biathlon rifle and a sporting rifle from Anschutz first I had seen. so the first couple of pictures are of the sporting straight pull in Turkish walnut . The next rifle is an unlimited weight Bench rest rifle in laminate .

Well three firsts. 2 posts in the same week, First Blackwolf and First laminate with purple included. Years ago before purple was available as a laminate colour many F Class shooters wanted it. In the years since it has been available we have not been asked for it, then in recent months 2 customers have ordered it albeit in slightly different layups. This customer wanted the colour to be Obsidian, between us we agreed on the layup and when finished in the slippery gloss he liked it.[Second stock tomorrow.] Bit of a job getting the Blackwolf down to 6.5 K limit with customers preferred Scope choice, the action is a big 'un and quite heavy . Also first install of our new style adjustable "pinch post" .

About time to post still alive and kicking here's one from later last year for the Walther LG400 one of my favourite pre charged rifles great for any type of target shooting light enough to be made for any category. The customer chose the layup of the custom made sheet, at the time I thought it was not worth going custom as we have used the reds before but when I had shaped it I could see why, it was the addition of the brown layer that made all the difference and when the gloss was applied over the base coat it really look outstanding [now I can see]. The whole thing finished off with my good friend at Sub MOA's hook assembly.

I always have great plans to keep adding updates to what we are doing but finding time to do just that seems even harder...

I always have great plans to keep adding updates to what we are doing but finding time to do just that seems even harder now than it did a few years ago. So its about time to show something recent. I am a great fan of F1 racing, I also have had a back injury for over 25 years which causes a lot of pain so shooting with heavy rifles simply does not work for me. So with this in mind I remembered the words of Colin Chapman of Team Lotus , lets add some lightness so using that for inspiration and the world of F1 I have designed some stocks to be finished in the colours of both the current and past great teams. As reach team has 2 cars the stocks in each colour will be limited to 2. So to start we are celebrating the current World Champions Maclaren. This stock was snapped up and sold prior to being finished . we also have the second stock of the "team" insetted for AA Evo . We hope you like it we are now planning the next pair.

This week another Bench Rest Rifle, more conventional in very high gloss black lacquer with adjustable pad including length of pull adjustment, 360 swivel and tilt cheek-piece, custom light weight trigger guard all metalwork polished flush fitting adjustment screws and all screws including action retaining bolts using same size Allen sockets to make life simple. Pillar bedded with a Vudu single shot action with Kreiger barrel.

To coincide with the British Shooting Show here's a very new design completed a couple of weeks ago for both Light and heavy classes of Bench Rest Shooting for his new Air Arms Rifle for free recoil no contact shooting to the specifications of a very good and well known shooter who shot a maximum score 25X just before collecting so no pressure there then.
