We are back! I hope you had a wonderful month and enjoyed the sunshine. I hear we were lucky with some very good weather while I was away.
Studio opens fully on Monday 1st September and class schedule is up and running so you can book away!
I can't wait to hear all your summer updates and get us moving together again. Get ready for some inevitable DOMS 🫣

Thought I better post these pretty pics of the studio on the grid to make it easier for all the newbies to find us (IYKYK)
We are a fully equipped pilates studio, with 3 reformers, tower and wunda chair to meet all your exercise needs, whether you are completely new to pilates or a seasoned spring warrior.
We offer 11 weekly classes and private 1:1 (45 or 60min) and 2:1 sessions (60min).
Everyone is welcome, especially those with chronic pain who think they can't exercise because of their knees, hips or back pain. The beauty of equipment is that we can help you move your body without overloading your joints so you gradually build strength and spring back to feeling better in your body.

It's an understatement to say that I am super pleased with the photoshoot we had in the studio yesterday.
We were so lucky with the weather and managed to catch some beautiful sun light, whilst amazing did her magic and captured springs, pulleys and of course bodies flowing, twisting and bending.
Thank you and for volunteering your modelling skills. Keep an eye out for your awesome snaps.
Heads up, our studio will be closed from 21st-25th October (first week of school half term).

I first came across Pilates ten years ago, after discovering Lara Hudson and Suzanne Bowen Pilates DVDs. I noticed quick aesthetic results but unable to find any local classes, I focused instead on regular yoga practice to balance a mix of different cardio and strengthening workouts.
With age and two young boys later, I started experiencing more injuries from high impact exercise and being hypermobile has made me realise the importance of strengthening the muscles around main joints. I have rediscovered Pilates and never looked back. It proved the perfect type of exercise, combining strengthening and conditioning of the body with improving joint flexibility and range of movement. Better still, it has really challenged me mentally in a way no other type of exercise had done in the past. Amongst all the wonderful benefits of Pilates, like improved posture, back pain relief, leaner and balanced muscle groups, it really helps to connect your mind and body, leading to greater body awareness and developing correct movement patterns.
I decided to take a break from my corporate career and train with BASI Pilates, qualifying as mat work instructor in 2019. I absolutely love to share the amazing benefits of Pilates with others and have special interest in helping runners and cyclists to complement their training for improved performance and injury prevention.
I offer private classes (1:1, 1:2, 1:3) in clients’ home, within 10 mile radius from Bookham, Surrey. I also run a small group class in Twickenham.
All equipment provided including magic circle, soft balls and physio bands to assist and modify exercises, so you work to your comfortable limits.
