Well , we have started the season and so far lost one won one, not bad considering the cold evenings.
We are now looking forward to warmer nights and faster greens.
The new bowlers , (this is their first season ) have been outstanding , picking up the rules and process and on top of that making new friends.
Anyone thinking of having a go just drop me a text.
Next game at home is Thursday 6:45 pm against Kirton & Falkham, if you wish to watch , just pop over and have a gander.

Last Sunday was our opening drive and also the first time we got together in our new kit, thanks to Port One’s support we now have the smartest kit in the league(probably🫠 ). We now look forward to the new season and the support of all to our members and sponsor Port One.
If anyone fancies a go, just let me know, we are happy to help.

If you are not watching town tomorrow, why not pop along to our green.
We are opening the green for the first time this season and If you fancy finding out what bowls and our club is about, this is your chance. So pop along around 2pm and we will make you welcome and show you around.

Great news , our new kit that was sponsored by Port One has arrived .
“Thank you again for you support”

Our Pre Season meeting will be on the 13th at 7pm at our new pavilion. We will be handing out the new shirts and jackets then.
If anyone is thinking in trying bowls,for the first time, then why not pop along and have a chat, we are a friendly crowd.
After that weather permitting we shall be having an open day on Sunday 19th starting at 2pm, there will be a drive and the opportunity for coaching for those new to bowls.
Our season starts in earnest on 28th with a visit to California club in the league.
So we are looking forward to warm summer evenings with good company and a few wins under our belt .

So today we had our first fitting for our new kit, we are holding one or two more soon. Now is the time to give us a call if interested in joining. Once the kit order goes in they won’t be free like this lot.

Big thanks to Port One! 🎉
We’re thrilled to announce that our Club's new shirts and jackets will be sponsored by our neighbour Port One. At our last meeting they confirmed that their commitment to support the local community goes far beyond sport—they also want to support the local community with infrastructure improvements and creating opportunities through employment, whilst listening to the Community about how changes may affect them.
Their support will help the bowls club grow, both on and off the green. 💪
So now is the time for people thinking of taking up the sport to get in touch, the new season starts in April.

We have now completed, our autumn green renovations with the help of Adrian at Premier Turf and our fantastic club volunteers . Graden, seeding and top dressing all in one day , great effort by all.

So, the season has come to the end, with mixed results for the club.
One team relegated , one team 2nd in the league and one runners up in the Thurlow Cup , so all in all pretty good.
Now is the time to start to look for new players for next season, so anyone out there looking to try the sport of bowls, look no further, get in touch and we get the ball.. bowl rolling
Indoors over the winter, we are going to set up our carpet bowls mats, so if you fancy having a go, again get in touch.

Hi, we are now up and running and are offering our pavilion to local people who are looking for a venue to hold meeting etc.
So if you are thinking of setting up a group event or just wish to have a coffee type morning, give us a shout and we will try to help.
On the bowls side , if you would like to try and have a go at the sport, again we would be happy to help.
