Clubbercise® is a fun full body workout with a banging soundtrack that gets great results. One session burns around 600 calories. The routines combine dance, toning and combat moves with options to suit all fitness levels. Classes are held in a darkened room with disco lights and our trademark LED glow sticks.
Back 2 Basics - taking fitness back to basics to help those whom are less active, looking to get back into fitness, those returning from injuries or if you are worried you can't keep up.. this class is for you. Options will be given fir more advanced but kit will be the same. We will use resistance bands, loops, light weights, mini balls and other simple equipment.
Totally Shredded / HIIT.. my most challenging class, but still lots of fun. We will mix it up between Totally Shredded which is one of the first HIIT & Combat workouts that uses a great range of music from dance classics to garage and DnB. This class is based around fun and creating a workout a workout that shreds inches from your body and HIIT( High Intensity Interval Training) HIIT training leads to greater EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) when compared to continuous exercise. This means that after you have finished exercising, your body will continue to burn calories at a higher rate than normal.
HIIT training should be very hard work when performed correctly. This intensity can be exhilarating and leave you feeling a real sense of accomplishment. For those who want more control over how they feel during a training session, although this is fast paced, I do offer alternatives for you.
Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and International music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness.
Bootcamp - The goal of a fitness bootcamp is to provide a whole-body workout that builds strength and aerobic endurance. Bootcamp workout generally is done at a higher intensity than moderate aerobic activity. We use sandbags, weights, battleropes, weighted bars, skipping g ropes and lots more.
Fitness Pilates - Fitness Pilates is more of a functional approach to the traditional Pilates class. It still applies the main principles of Pilates but with a broader spectrum of exercises to add variety in every class such as the use of a bender ball or light hand weights. It is a form of exercise suitable for everyone – men and women of all ages and fitness levels. It is a low-impact conditioning class using simple effective movements, helping correct imbalances, improve posture, develop core stability, release stress and prevent injuries. The class is suitable for beginners as all exercises have beginner, intermediate and advanced options. There is a lovely relaxation section at the end to really help you unwind and relax.
How does it work?
Pilates exercises target the key postural muscles building strength from within creating a girdle of strength around the torso. Joseph Pilates called this the Powerhouse. The core centre of the body (the lower back and abdomen) are supported and strengthened, enabling the rest of the body to move freely.
The principles of Pilates are concentration, breathing, relaxation, body alignment, flow and body awareness. You will definitely feel the benefit.
Saturday Surprise is just that. It could be aerobics, dance fitness, bootcamp, strength work, hiit training, resistance training, mini ball workout and much more.
