SPEY VALLEY VS AVIEMORE THISTLE FC

The young lads of Spey Valley begin their first gameof the season within the Strathspey and Badenoch Welfare Football League tomorrow night at 630 pm, Tuesday 10th May 2022 at the Aviemore Community Pitch

Coach Paul Phillips said, "The boys are really excited about this opportunity to play competitive games. Yes we have a young team but we've bulked it up with a few wiser heads to ensure our boys have some guidance and direction on the pitch too."

"We've had a couple of pre-season friendlies and this has helped us identify where we need to improve. I'd encourage all family and friends of this young team to come out and support these guys. They've worked hard in training and hopefully they can push Thistle over the 90 minutes."

"I wish our boys all the very vest and hope they enjoy the season ahead."

Spey Valley are still looking for players aged 16 - 18 to compete in this seasons local welfare league. Training isThursday night 6 to 730 pm at Aviemores Astro turf pitch. If your looking to keep busy and fit over the summer this is a great opportunity. Simply turn up on Thursday or send the club an email !!

Right lads application submitted to join the SBWFA for season 2022.

Great turn out last Thursday. Training will recommence 23rd March at the astro.

TRAINING CONTINUES ...

Hi folks SV U18s training sessions continue Thursday 24th February 2022 at 6pm to 730pm at the Astro turf pitch in Aviemore.

We would also like to add that we're looking to enroll a team in to the local welfare league over the summer and are looking for more players.

"Yes our long term strategy is to develop an U18 squad that can compete in the Highland Youth League. But this gives our players a chance to play with and against older and more experienced players in the welfare league".

For the summer league we would like to encourage anyone under 20 who hasn't found a club/team to come to our training sessions and integrate with our young squad".

We hope to have a few more friendlies lined up in the coming weeks, so if your interested please get in touch with the team management and drop them an email or message.

Hi folks happy new year to you all. Spey Valley U18s training will start again soon... and updates will follow providing dates and times.

Message to Spey Valley Players

To players and parents. The club has been asking players to bring a £1 for training and £2 for match days. This has not been happening and needs to be addressed. Kits need washed pitches need to be paid for, we also need to look after the bank balance as well.

As everyone knows the club is pretty much being run by two coaches for the majority and we need the support of parents to keep the momentum going.

We are asking for any parents who wish to come on board with regards to the admin side of things and also anyone willing to looking after the kits for match days and so forth.

Tonight we lost 3 balls, because things aren't being looked after. We have made so much progress as a club which is clear for all to see but we need more support in the background
