Grantham College Table Tennis Academy We offer high level Table Tennis coaching/sparring alongside academic qualifications in both Further Education and Higher Education

Grantham College launched the Table Tennis Academy in September 2002. This initiative, the first in the UK, allows both local and national players to take advantage of a variety of specialist training facilities at the College to help them towards achieving their full potential and goals. Grantham College is ideally equipped to provide the very best in table tennis coaching. The College benefits f

rom a large sports hall in which the table tennis coaching takes place. The Academy offers the following key benefits:

* A wide choice of full-time courses, all leading to nationally recognised
qualifications
* Access to the outstanding training facilities at the College
* Access to top level table tennis training
* International standard coaching
* Opportunity to gain a UKCC Coaching qualification
* On-site residential accommodation. Entry Requirements:
If you apply to the Table Tennis Academy you must be at least 16 years of age at the commencement of your programme and normally be already playing at junior county standard. Selection will, however, be based on individual assessment and academic ability. Progression Opportunities
If you successfully complete the Academy programme you can expect to advance your play significantly. Depending on your chosen course of academic/vocational study, if you are on an Intermediate programme you can progress to Advanced Level, whilst if you are an Advanced Level student you will be able to progress on to one of the HE courses at the college, including the HNC/D in Sport and Exercise Science (Coaching Science).

At the Academy we are incredibly proud of our staff and the commitment and efforts they make on a daily basis to supporting and inspiring our players to reach their full potential.

With our players collectively achieving an impressive 𝟗𝟑 medals across National and 4* events in the last 12 months, and countless others at 2* and local events, we believe this is a clear reflection of the passion and dedication from both our players and our staff.

EllaPashley also won the award for Player of the Year but was in training camp preparing for the European Youth Championships so was unable to collect her award in person.
