What a season for our 20th anniversary! Saturday closed off, what was a memorable year.
The season started off with major work on the pitches with the summer droughts killing off grass, meaning we had to delay home fixtures until after we had seeded the pitches again.
Due to our successful FA pitch care application over 6 years! ๐ฅณ we could afford to buy the seed and fert to help our pitches that we share with our cricket club. We were patient, the weather came and we saw recovery - thank god!
We managed to get 2 teams out for the Boxing Day match, which didnโt disappoint. Iโve only just recovered from being in goal for 20 minutes and Harrison stopped walking like John Wayne in early April ๐คฃ.
Kirsty Dowling single handedly got our cafe back up and running, opening most Saturdays and Sundays so we could feed and water very hungry and thirsty match day parents! ๐ Thank you x.
Becca Rushby stepped up to become club welfare officer. A role that holds so much importance for an impartial and fairly ran football club, working on the committee to support all of the players, coaches and parents. Thank you x.
Abi Cullum continued the great work as club secretary, working tirelessly to make sure that we are well versed and prepped to carry out our responsibilities as club officials, working across all 4 leagues that we represent - YEL, Mid Lincs, SGFYL and Boston. Thank you x.
Dan Brister, stepping up as club vice chairman as well as helping to guide the u13โs girls team to an amazing first season; becoming runners up in the Lincs Girls league as well as an amazing success in the Lincs Girls u13โs Trophy at Grimsby Borough FC. Thank you.
Andy Cullum & Colin Blankley had an amazing season in the Boston Premiership followed up by a Lincs Cup Final win to bring back an historical cup for the first time in our history, beating Wyberton 3-1. Thank you.

Thank you all!! Without you and your players, parents and helpers, we have no club. We are lucky, special and proud to be โlittle old Ancasterโ - punching well above our weight in football terms!
And long may it continue. . . ๐โฝ๏ธ๐โฝ๏ธ
