The doors were open at Grangemouth Stadium on Saturday as it held its first community open day.

Happy Birthday to the Name Taekwon-Do!

On 11 April 1955, General Choi Hong Hi officially chose the name for his newly created martial art: Taekwon-Do.

Today, we celebrate more than just the birth of a name we celebrate the beginning of a global movement that has inspired millions of people across the world.

Let us honour the legacy of General Choi Hong Hi by always giving our very best in training, teaching, and living by the principles of Taekwon-Do each and every day.

Student of the year 2025
🌟Athol Irawan🌟

Athol has been training since 2017 and gained his Blackbelt 2024. He’s a dedicated student who gives his all at class and gradings.

Athol is muscial. He has been playing the baritone horn now for 7 years and plays with the Kirkton Youth Band who are a local Bathgate Brass Band. He regularly performs with them and the senior band at concerts and does the odd concert at local nursing homes etc. In Nov 2025 the youth band won gold and got the overall first place in the Novice Section at the Scottish Brass Band Association.
He also plays in the West Lothian schools Brass Band. He goes to the home gym and is supervised by Irvine. 🤣 He enjoys meals out, going to gigs and is learning Indonesian via the duo lingo app.
