Fantastic day for a few of the ESG boys as they took part in a Coerver Coaching Scotland session through in Edinburgh, our very own Ezrah was chosen as trainer of the day 👌💪🏼 followed by taking in the Hearts v Dundee match at tynecastle. Thankfully they got the win at the end. We also made it onto the tv coverage 💪🏼😂

ESG Whites v John Sutton CC

An early start this morning away to a strong side in John Sutton.

Jack was our captain today, following his hard work and dedication at training, which he has topped off by his recent displays on match days 👏

A strong start from both teams with end to end action in the first half and goals at either end. ESG played some good football, linking well to create counter attacking opportunities to feed the strikers through on goal.

The second half ESG were put under periods of pressure throughout with our keeper again making some great saves. The boys continued to dig deep and were rewarded with a worldie from our captain Jack ⚽️

Unfortunately the boys fell short against a relentless attack today but we go again next week and build on that experience 💪

Thanks to John Sutton CC for the hospitality and a good game between both sides.

What a day for the ES Galaxy Blacks! ☀️🖤

With the sun shining and the crowds out in full voice, today was a fantastic occasion for everyone involved. The atmosphere around Falkirk Stadium was brilliant, and the supporters were treated to a match packed with attacking action, determined defending and plenty of quality football from both sides.

There were some stunning finishes throughout the game — definitely a few that can only be described as top drawer! 🎯🔥

Another excellent performance from the lads today, showing the quality, togetherness and determination that has seen us make such a stunning start to the season. The boys continue to put in the hard work, and it’s great to see that rewarded on match day.

A huge thank you to Falkirk for hosting us today. We really appreciate the welcome and hospitality, and we wish you all the very best for your upcoming fixtures. 🤝⚽

Week 3
ESG Whites v EDFC

A great, well contested game at home today against a good side in EDFC.

Jake was our captain today, he took the armband with pride and really put in a great performance and gave his all on the pitch.

ESG played some brilliant football throughout, finding great through balls to our attacking players on several occasions, topped off by the bursting runs to create plenty of opportunities and some composed finishing.
The team defended as a unit, with our trusted goalkeeper ready to react when called into action.
A superb game to watch for all involved with both clubs and a big thanks to EDFC for a good competitive game between two evenly matched sides.

Big well done to all the players out there today 👏

ES Galaxy Blacks vs EDFC Madrid

What a day for the Galaxy Blacks! ☀️💙

The boys arrived nice and early today with the sun beating down and clear blue skies, setting the perfect scene for another league fixture. We got the lads switched on from the very start with a high-energy fitness warm-up, getting the legs moving and the blood pumping nice and early! 💪🔥

🫡 Captain Lukas

A special moment today as Lukas was appointed captain. In typical ESG fashion, the boys gave him a huge round of applause from his teammates — a fantastic show of togetherness, respect and team spirit. 👏💙

⚡ First Half Dominance

From the first whistle, the Galaxy Blacks were absolutely outstanding.

The boys dominated the first half and were rarely troubled, largely because they stuck brilliantly to the principles we talk about every week:

ENERGY. POSITIONAL AWARENESS. EFFORT.

Every player contributed, worked for the team and showed a real understanding of their role. The intensity was excellent, and the boys looked confident and composed throughout.

Going forward, the lads were absolutely electric as always ⚡ — creating problems, moving the ball with purpose and showing great attacking intent. Just as importantly, they were working tirelessly to get back and support the defensive side of the game. That’s exactly the balance we want to see. 👏

🧱 Outstanding Defensive Work

We worked on several defensive principles in training this week, and the coaching team were absolutely chuffed to see those learnings transferred onto match day.

The boys were super tight at the back, showed excellent positional discipline and worked together brilliantly as a defensive unit.

Seeing things we’ve worked on during the week come to life in a competitive game is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching. That progress matters! 📈🔥

A timely reminder for all parents, carers and supporters following the national media coverage in recent days regarding behaviour and discipline at CSFA matches.

Youth football should be a positive, safe and enjoyable environment where players can learn, develop and build confidence. The behaviour displayed on the sidelines has a huge influence on the experience of every child taking part.

We would therefore like to remind everyone of the simple dos and don'ts that help create a respectful and supportive atmosphere for players, coaches, referees and fellow spectators.

Thank you to and especially Gail Hamilton, for allowing us to use and share their excellently presented template.

A tough game today for ESG whites against a very good Milton side. Some mistakes proved costly and allowed Milton to capitalise well. Some good passages of play going forward by ESG and on another day may have reaped more reward. We take these days on the chin and congratulate Milton on a good display. We go again next week. 💪🏼 ⚽️

Owen was today’s captain and gave it his all to encourage his side. Great captains display.
