Official Ribbon Cutting for Newly Marked Pickleball Courts at Privettt Park, Gosport.

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to all our Park Picklers who arose early yesterday morning to join the celebrations on the opening of the two new lined pickleball courts, your enthusiasm is truly appreciated.

It was the most perfect morning, blue skies and sunshine set the mood. The ribbon was cut by Caroline Dinenage, Gosport MP and Mayor Kirsten Bradley. Also in attendance were Council Leader Zoe Huggins, Deputy Leader Lesley Meenaghan, Cllrs. Davis Marshall, Thomas Finn and Stevyn Ricketts, Chair of Communities and Environment Board. Thomas also joined the group in a game. We sincerely thank them all for their attendance and support.

A warm welcome is always given to newcomers. Ian will be recommencing the introduction to Pickleball Clinics shortly, if you wish to join the waiting list or require information, please contact [email protected]

Well, we now have the courts, we have the Picklers, so let’s enjoy playing pickleball, keeping fit and having fun.

Following the visit of Cllr. Lesley Meenaghan, Deputy Leader of Gosport Borough Council. Meenaghan decided to ‘have a go,’ also shown on the video. Thank you to Cllr. Meenaghan for her enthusiasm and our players relating their experience of playing Pickleball at Privett Park.

Another blue sky day another good day for Pickleball.

A warm welcome was given by all the Park Picklers to Cllr. Lesley Meenaghan, Deputy Leader of Gosport Council at today’s session. We thank Cllr. Meenaghan for being so generous with her time.

The passion for Pickleball is shared by us all and our group has continued to increase in numbers during our first year. We look forward to support and co-operation from the Council to ensure even more Gosport residents have the opportunity to play and enjoy this fun sport.
