Gosport and Fareham Rugby Football Club GFRFC offer Senior, Walking, Women's and Mini rugby to all. Clubhouse available for hire/events.

Gosport and Fareham are currently playing the 2022/23 season in Counties 1 Hampshire

Several players whose careers began at Gosport Park have gone on to 'greater things' achieving honours at every representative level, including top clubs, senior county, all three services, provincial, England 1st XV and England Under 18 level. The England jersey went to Tom Danby, who represented England against

Wales in 1949 when a Harlequins player. Les White, played for Gosport before a spell with London Irish and was in the victorious Munster team of the All Blacks 1979 Tour - the only Provincial side ever to beat the New Zealanders. As if to underline that Gosport & Fareham are a "true family club", in season 1998-99, the 1st XV took to the field with four sets of brothers playing - Richard & Jamie Daly, Andy & Brett Gamblin, Richard & Matt Hutchinson, and Paul & Gary Middleton. In season (2001/2), we reached the final of the Powergen Intermediate Cup - no Hampshire team has ever progressed this far in a National Cup competition - and were losing finalists at Twickenham against a powerful Halifax side who gained promotion to the National League a few weeks later. In January 2004, we moved into a brand new purpose-built £800,000 clubhouse at Gosport Park, mainly funded by Lottery money from Sport England, Fareham and Gosport Borough Councils, and by extensive fundraising undertaken by club members. In season 2010-2011 the 1st XV won the Hampshire Cup, the senior County Cup competition, after beating two National League clubs - the finalists Basingstoke and Havant in the semi-finals

The countdown is on for Pete’s Memorial Celebration this Saturday, and there’s still time to get involved!

It’s not too late to dust off those boots, pull on a shirt, and join us for a fantastic afternoon of alternative touch rugby as we celebrate Pete’s life the best way we know how — with friends, laughter, and plenty of rugby.

What a fantastic start to Friday Night Touch Rugby at Gosport & Fareham RFC! 🏉☀️

Nearly 80 players joined us down at the park this evening, with smiles all around and a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. A great way to kick off the summer fun!

Touch rugby is open to everyone and runs every Friday until 7th August 2026.

On Friday 12th June, Duncs and his team mates are attempting to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge for Rugby Against Cancer.
This charity is local and does amazing work helping people with cancer.
Having seen the effect cancer can have on family members, the work this charity does is vital in helping make life a little easier. So pushing ourselves in a tough challenge like this is our way of helping and raising vital funds to keep helping.
