GC Bike Repairs is run by a team of cycling fans whether you are a casual riders or a full on triathletes we're here to help keep you on the go. We’ll repair any bike you have regardless of size, shape or cost. Our passion

is simply to keep cyclists on the move…whatever it takes. We’re happy to work on any repair from puncture repairs through to Di2 upgrades. We work in a friendly professional way incorporating the latest booking technology to allow clients to interact with us in whatever way suits them - be it Social media, Messaging, Email or even the good old fashioned phone call. Equally important is we don’t speak jargon - we’ll explain your repair in clear easy to understand terms - we appreciate a lot of cyclists are simply using their bike to get from A to B and just want it fixed without hassle. Our bike recycling centre in Gosport is working in partnership with local youth charity Motiv8 to provide work experience and training for young people that need their first chance. In addition to this any bikes donated to us are refurbished by our volunteers and resold - a portion of which goes to the Motiv8 youth charity. History

Started in a double garage by brothers Tony & Graham Childs GC Bike Repairs has quickly grown to encompass several retail sites, a website, an event support company and a corporate services company. With plans to take their service to as many people as possible please feel free to reach out with any questions.

This Claud Butler - Majestic was great fun to work on! My customer's replacement Suntour VX rear derailleur wasn't holding its tension. After taking it apart I found all the components had seized up due to years of grime and rust 😱 After some time in the ultrasonic cleaner, scrubbing and fresh grease it's back to working order!

Custom Rourke kitted out with Shimano Ultegra in the shop for the works! Here's what I did:

- rear derailleur stripped, front and rear derailleur cleaned, lubricated and adjusted
- cassette/chainset disassembled and cleaned
- chain put through an ultrasonic cleaner and ceramic chain l**e applied
- brake blocks removed, sanded and cleaned
- brake calipers deep cleaned, springs lubricated and calipers adjusted
- bottom bracket removed, cleaned and fresh grease applied
- headset taken apart, cleaned and fresh grease applied
- seat post/seat tube cleaned and fresh grease applied
- frame cleaned and polished
- wheels cleaned
- safety check performed

Ribble 1 dropped off after experiencing gear shifting issues. The bike is only 6 weeks old, after taking a look it was determined that the gear cables had stretched. The gear cables should have been stretched before the bike was sent from the store my customer purchased this from to avoid this issue, not the end of the world though 👍

🚲 Bike Theft Alert - Gosport Leisure Centre

We’ve seen an increase in bike thefts at Gosport Leisure Centre. Gosport Police are aware and are working closely with the Leisure Centre to identify those responsible.

🔧 Bike Marking Event - Tomorrow, 17:00pm -18:00pm A free bike marking session will be held at the Leisure Centre tomorrow. Registering your bike is one of the best ways for us to return it to its original owner if it’s ever taken.

To help keep bikes safe, please remember:
🔒 Secure Your Bike Properly
• Use a strong D lock or heavy duty chain
• Lock the frame and both wheels
• Ensure your bike is attached to the designated bike racks
• Remove accessories such as lights or GPS units

👨👩👧 Parents & Guardians Please make sure your child is locking their bike correctly when visiting the Leisure Centre. Properly securing a bike significantly reduces the chance of theft.

📸 Record Your Bike Details
• Take clear photos of your bike
• Make a note of the frame number
• Keep these details safe if you do not wish to have your bike marked, please ensure you record your bike details so they can be passed to Police if it is ever stolen. This greatly increases the chance of recovery.

👮 Police Patrols Continuing Officers will continue regular patrols in the area to deter offenders and reassure the community.
