Each kettlebell exercise uses up to 600 muscles. Having said this, kettlebell training is based around movement patterns as well as just muscles. So, rather than training one area you would use large full body exercises like the swing, clean and press, sn**ch etc. When you use more muscles with every exercise you use more energy therefore burning more calories. This, with consistency, will increase your metabolic rate. The quicker and more demanding your metabolic rate the more calories you will burn in daily life.
