Gosport Leisure Centre, Tues 12 - 2.00 pm. St Vincent College, Sat 11.45 - 1.45 pm. Bay House School, Thurs 7.00 - 9.00pm, West Hill Park School, Sun 10.00am - 12.00

WHAT IS PICKLEBALL? Pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over the net.

This weekend Gosport had a few teams play in the local Acorn League played at Alverstoke Club. The teams between them had three wins overall, with quite a few close games. Lots of fun was had by all and have got themselves into a strong position for next season. Well done all keep it going.

A first for Gosport Pickleball club with 4 Gosport teams playing league matches at the weekend.

Congratulations to Gosport Gladiators who in a competitive Division 5 of the South West league managed to retain their place.

Gosport Pirates team won five out of twelve and were pleased how they have improved over the year, finishing 3rd in Division 8 of the South West league.

In the Acorn league at Alverstoke for 8 out of the 9 players, it was their first time at Alverstoke.
Gosport 1 finished a respectable 3rd in Division 1 and congratulations to Gosport 2 in Division 2, who with 7 wins finished a very good 2nd place, just missing out on first place on count back.

Well done all those who have competed in all of these teams this year.

Gosport hosted its first multiple interclub tournament, with over 40 players, involving 8 teams from Gosport, Alverstoke, Seacourt and Clanfield.
Games were of a high competitive standard, with many matches only being decided by closely fought Dreambreakers.
Many thanks to all those teams who played, for making it a memorable event which was played in a great friendly spirit.
