The student whose wrist I have on the right of this photo (circa 1990's) is called Tony Cheng. I have not seen him for decades as he lives in Hong Kong but we have recently reconnected. He told me how the Karate lessons he received had changed his life and got him to where he is today. A truly inspirational gentleman and one of the nicest Senpai you will ever meet. The other student trying to axe kick my head is non other than my most senior instructor's brother, Ian Hampton. Both brothers trained with me for many years. These three were the first students to ever receive a black belt from me and I consider them old school karateka. I thought I would share this story to take your mind off the current situation and help you realise things will change if you want them to. Oss!

A rare photo of the legendary Kanazawa Sensei starting out teaching medical students in 1959 Japan. I feel blessed to have been trained by him when he made it to England and thanks to Omer Sensei for without doubt the hardest training in the World. How none of us died I will never know.
