📢 2nd XI Cup Result 📢

Goole faced Hensall in the Hundred Plate, looking to book their place in the quarter-finals.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Goole posted a competitive 169/7 from their 100 balls. The main contributions came from Jakey Kennedy (43), Will O’Donnell (40), Ben Scorah (24) and Ciaran Smith (17).

Goole then restricted Hensall to 120/8 from their 100 balls to secure their place in the quarter-finals. There were two wickets apiece for Jack Everett, Mohammed Qayoum and Jakey Kennedy, with Ben Scorah claiming one wicket.

A great all-round performance from the 2nd XI sees them progress to the quarter-finals of the Hundred Plate. Goole will now face Kippax away on 3rd July.

Goole return to league action on Saturday with an away fixture against Sherburn Eversley.

🏏 Friday Night – Our 2nd XI are in Hundred Plate action as they host Hensall 1st XI.

🏏 The 1st XI welcome North Cave, looking to continue their impressive home league form.

🏏 The 2nd XI travel to Sherburn Eversley, aiming to bounce back and return to winning ways.

🏏 Academy XI – Chasing a perfect 5 from 5, the Academy side host Sutton-on-Hull and will be looking to keep their unbeaten start intact.

Fairburn halted Goole’s good league form with a six-wicket win.

Goole were bowled out for 147 in 34.1 overs, with Jakey Kennedy top-scoring with 40, supported by Will O’Donnell (25) and Sam Copping (21).

Fairburn chased the target in 26.5 overs, led by opener Harry Way’s unbeaten 93. Goole’s wickets came through Jack Everett (3/34), Jakey Kennedy (2/38) and Rob Jacobs (1/21).

Goole will look to bounce back next week away at Sherburn Eversley.
