Plenty of good performances once again with both bat and ball across all 3 Saturday league teams at the weekend!
WITH THE BAT…
⭐️ Thaakier Davids’ scored his second century, (first in the league) for the club. Thaakier hit 128 from 129 balls in an excellent knock that setup victory for the 1st XI
• Matt Blunt’s cameo of 28* off 19 balls, which included 18 runs in the final over of the innings, was crucial in giving the 1st XI important momentum
•Wyatt Watson passed 50 for the second time in four league innings so far this season as he hit 67 in the 2nd XI
• Dom Harris’ run-a-ball 51* was his first half-century of the season and helped the 2nd XI post a very competitive score
• Stan Stoneham hit his top score to date for the 2nd XI as he struck 41 off 49 balls
• Tim Stirmey made it 2 fifties in 3 innings for the 3rd XI this season as he hit 75 on Saturday
• And Dan Head marked his first game of the season with a first league fifty since 2019, as he hit 52 for the 3rd XI
WITH THE BALL…
⭐️ Tom Hecks got the 2nd XI to within touching distance of victory as he recorded his best figures in senior league cricket to date, taking 4/34 from 7.1 overs
• Will Burton-Durham continued his excellent start to the season, taking 3/12 off 5 overs for the 1st XI
• Callum Smith marked his return to the side with 3/21 from 5.5 overs that included 2 maidens
• Thaakier Davids showed off his all-round credentials, removing both Hailsham openers as he took 2/17 from 7 overs
• Zak Barber made the important breakthrough that led the 2nd XI’s fightback as he took 2/38
• And Felix Moore continues to shine for the 3rd XI as he returned excellent figures of 2/14 from 9 economical overs
