What a fantastic start to our Summer Holiday Club! A huge thank you and well done to all the young anglers who joined us on the water this week. It was brilliant to see so many tight lines, new skills being learned, and great catches.

Good Afternoon TJA Family!

I am writing an apology to all those that have got gold on their Get Fishing Certificates.

As a coach, I was told that once a child has reached gold they are eligible for a 25% discount at Angling Direct.
Unfortunately this is not the case anymore.

The Angling Trust amd Angling Direct no longer run this scheme.
The Angling Trust are working hard on the baclground to come up with another scheme.

I want to apologise for giving false information, I have only been made aware today.

The energy at Tewkesbury Junior Anglers has been off the charts! We kicked off our summer holiday club in style and had an absolute blast running the first of two epic sessions with the amazing Brockworth Youth Group. Seeing so many young anglers hooking fish, mastering new skills, and loving every second on the bank is what it’s all about!

☀️🎣 Exciting News! Tewkesbury Junior Anglers Summer Holiday Club is almost here! 🎣☀️

Get ready for a summer of fishing fun! Our Holiday Club for ages 7-16 kicks off on Monday, 20th July, running every Monday through August.

We provide all bait and equipment, and our club is fully licensed and DBS checked! Check out the attached poster for all the pricing and full/half-day timing details.

⚠️ IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION – READ CAREFULLY ⚠️

Due to high demand, we will be launching our new online booking system very soon! Please note:

All bookings are on a strict first-come, first-served basis.

Once spaces are full, children will be placed on a waiting list.

HOW TO BOOK & SECURE YOUR PLACE:

To manage this fairly, we are implementing a Unique Reference Number (URN) system. Here’s what you need to do:

🎣 IMPORTANT UPDATE: THIS WEEK'S FISHING SESSION POSTPONED ☀️

​Hi everyone,
​Due to the extreme heat we are currently experiencing, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone this week’s fishing session.

​We know how much the kids look forward to these events, but we have to prioritize welfare first and foremost. Here is a quick breakdown of why we are hitting pause for now:

​🐟 Welfare of the Fish

When water temperatures soar, the dissolved oxygen levels in the water drop significantly. Catching and playing fish in these extreme conditions causes them immense physical stress. Even with the most careful handling, releasing exhausted fish back into warm, deoxygenated water drastically lowers their chances of survival. As responsible anglers, we have a duty to protect our local wildlife.

​🧢 Welfare of the Children

Sitting out on the bank in sweltering temperatures is tough going. We want to completely avoid the risks of heat exhaustion, dehydration, and severe sunburn for our young anglers. Fishing should be a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for them, not an endurance test in the sun!
​We will be keeping a close eye on the forecast and will update everyone as soon as conditions are safe and comfortable enough to reschedule.
​Stay cool, keep hydrated, and we will see you all back on the bank soon! 🌊🎣

Wow, what a superb 1st day at The Three Counties Show!

We have had well over 100 children enjoying free fishing sessions!

We would like to thank Gary Palmer for supporting us, and giving us his expertise for the day!!

Also like to say thank you to Bankside Tackle for supplying the bait for us!

We would also like to say you buy BAA memberships and booklets from us too.

We will be here for the rest of the weekend too!
