League Game
A fantastic start to the league campaign with a well-deserved win. It was a great team performance, with some excellent individual displays across the pitch.
🏆 Archie was a constant attacking threat throughout the game and was rewarded with two goals and a well-deserved Coaches’ Player of the Match award.
🏆 Apelles also had an excellent game and earned himself the opposition POTM award. Apelles worked extremely hard throughout, showing his blistering pace and determination, and was rewarded with a goal.
At the back, new signing Oscar and captain Ollie were solid throughout and put in a very strong defensive performance. They were unlucky not to come away with a clean sheet after conceding right at the end of the game, which had already gone beyond the scheduled playing time.
Roman also had a strong game, scoring twice, although one of his goals was ruled out by the referee. Roman played in central midfield rather than his usual position on the wing and adapted really well, putting in a very good performance.
Another new addition to the team, Jaylan, continued to impress. Jaylan has been fantastic during pre-season and put in another excellent performance. He is still getting used to the group and is experiencing youth football for the first time, but he is learning quickly and showing great natural ability and technique.
Jaylan came close to getting on the scoresheet, creating opportunities and showing plenty of confidence in his individual play. I can see him having a fantastic season and making a big contribution to the team.
GK Michael also had a great game, making some important saves and helping to keep the opposition from adding to their score.
Overall, every player contributed and played their part. I would give all the boys at least a 7/10 for their performances. Most importantly, the team showed that they are continuing to grow and develop together.
It’s a great start to the season. Hopefully, we can keep up the hard work, continue improving and build on this performance in the games ahead.
