Ok today is the day!
I have put it off long enough and this is one of the hardest posts i shall ever have to write, the tears are already rolling😓
Due to loss of premises, and the current financial situation i have made the decision to stop making jumps!
That will close the door on 50 years (with just a small break) of making jumps here at Groveside, HARTPURY.
Dad started in 1972 with M C Western (show jumps) and we certainly had some great times, supplying Alan Oliver and Julian Davy with their two new sets, advertising fences for Everest, Cockburns port and Babycham!
We were part of the team that supplied the jumps for the first ever Mediterranean Games in Athens
Not to mention the 4 complete sets of show jumps and set of working hunter jumps that travelled the south west every weekend.
When i restarted as JUST POLES it was to find me something to do over the summer, thank you Pierre Baber, i still hold you soley responsible! 9 years later we finally close the doors for the last time.
From out first order for Badgewoth, other Arenas came on board, and a huge thanks goes to them, Hartpury College and Equestrian centre, Lincombe, Wayfarer Eventing, Cherwell, Kings Sedgemore, Pontispool, Berkshire College, Stourport Riding center and Oxstalls.
We have been lucky enough to also supply some of the worlds top event riders, Nick Gauntlet, Selena Milne, Lissa Green, Andrew Nicholson, Mark Todd, Mike Winter and our most recent name Austen O'Connor, who recently helped Ireland secure qualification for the Pairs Olympics at the recent world championships.
We have produced a huge range of advertising fences, and thanks goes to Jon Hyam for allowing us to do HOYS, to Jessica Balmer and Clipperman for the opportunity to be at The Liverpool international!
We have enjoyed supporting some great local talent too, thanks to our ambassadors for their contribution and support, Pip Griffith, Rosie Blossett, Stuart Nie, Jason Hobbs and international show jumper Joe Fernyhough, it has been a pleasure to be part of your journey, and i wish you every success with your future endeavours.
But a simple thank you to all of my customers somehow doesnt seem enough, i have had a ball, i have made some great new friends and i will miss it emmensly, if i have forgotton anyone im so sorry, but this is so very hard to do .
