Not all strength looks the same.

Some will arrive by car, some will walk in.
Some with scars you can’t see.
Some with bodies the world once told them weren’t “built for this.”

Different ages. Different bodies. Different stories.

Tomorrow they’ll lace up their boots side by side, braid each other’s hair. Not to match. Not to be the same, but because they choose each other.

You might see a debuting women’s rugby team.

I however see a sisterhood with mud on their knees and fire in their lungs.

Longlevens Rugby

Only 2 days to go and here is the line up for the Longlevens Women’s MAR first ever match!
We are beyond proud of the huge squad we were able to achieve for this momentous occasion.
21 players named for our first ever match.
We know how much hard work goes into building women’s rugby at grassroots level, so this feels incredibly special. It’s a reflection of the welcoming, inclusive culture we’ve built — together.

And just like that… we’re closing out one incredible rugby season 💥🏉

To the athletes I had the honour of coaching in the build-up to this year’s IMART World Cup — I have no words big enough to capture how proud I am of you.

For the last 4 months, i had the absolute pleasure of training a handful of legends, they were incredible and built each other up. They showed up not just for themselves, but for each other — every single time.

💬The group chat - Celebrating every PB, every win, every breakthrough. It wasn’t just training it was also support and at times hilarious.

They pushed hard. For strength. For speed. For pride, every bear crawls and burpee i threw at them.

They chased more than just fitness — they chased greatness, together.

Watching them perform at the IMART Rugby World Cup in Pamplona — the intensity, the heart, the joy — was a reminder that this sport is about so much more than what happens on the field. It’s about belonging. It’s about showing up for your people.

Whether they played every minute or cheered from the sideline — they all made it count.
They made each other better.
They made each other unstoppable.

They made themselves World Champions 🏆

And I could not be any prouder to be a tiny part of their story.

Mission complete 🏉🏆

What a day – taking the IMART 2025 World Cup trophy out for one last spin across Gloucestershire.

We kicked off in Tewkesbury to see Mark at one of our amazing sponsors 🚿 where his brilliant colleagues welcomed us with big grins, great stories, and some seriously enthusiastic support.

Then on to catch up with Shane 🚑 – still smiling despite taking a match souvenir in the form of a broken elbow. A true gent and NHS hero, he works for the ambulance service and his work doesnt stop there, he often helps out in the pitch too.

Finally, we dropped in on Kieren, mechanic for the tri services 🔧 – who fixes more vehicles than we've had knock-ons (maybe). No grease on the silverware, I promise 🏆

It’s been an honour taking this trophy out on the road with our brilliant club photographer, capturing the spirit of mixed ability rugby every step of the way 📸

From homes to workplaces, what’s shone through most is the people. The pride. And the passion. The power of rugby to bring us all together in this inclusive sport.

The highs just keep coming! 🏆✨

Yesterday’s part of the Longlevens Mixed Ability World Champions trophy tour was great fun. and I dropped in to see one of our players, Andy, at Abbeymead Rovers Pirates Walking Football—still repping the team spirit loud and proud (even if it is the wrong shaped ball!) ⚽️

We also caught up with one of the lads who was badly injured during the tournament. His boots might be off for now, but his smile's still there ✨️ - we are all hoping for a fast recovery, Elijah 🥰

I loved being able to drop in on a couple of my clients in their workplace and homes today, too.

Moments like these remind me this is so much bigger than sport. It's community. It's connection. It's courage—on and off the pitch.
