Sometimes, we start coaching with one goal… and discover something much bigger along the way.
A client recently completed six months of coaching with me.
She came wanting to set boundaries without guilt.
And yes, she achieved that.
But she also discovered things she hadn’t expected to work on; how she communicates, how she responds under pressure, how she relates to her own mistakes, and how much more confidently she can listen to herself.
What I love most is that her biggest change wasn’t simply in what she was doing.
It was in how she felt.
Calmer. Braver. More confident. More at peace.
This is why I believe self-leadership is so important.
Because sometimes we think we need to change what’s happening around us.
But the most powerful changes can begin with understanding what’s happening within us.
Coaching creates the space to pause, reflect, get curious and ask ourselves some honest questions.
And from there, we can begin to make different choices.
I feel so blessed to have been trusted to walk alongside this client for six months.
Her final words to me were:
“Thank you for holding my hand whilst I discovered this new version of myself.”
What a privilege.
And perhaps a reminder that sometimes the first step towards leading yourself differently is simply being willing to stop and look at what’s really going on. ❤️🙏🏻
