Today has been hard.

I don't have it in me to explain all the details publicly right now, but I made the best decision for him. If anyone needs me I'll be inhaling the smell of his tail and sitting with a very big horse sized hole in my heart.

WE DID A THING!!

Binks and I got dolled up for a spot of E- Riders dressage today 😍. First time back inside the boards since B had his big injury in 2021. (We then of course had the arrival of the smallest Power, I had the nasty broken rib, and general life has been trying to get in the way).

We had a crack at a Novice test today and B was so happy to strut his stuff and show off how clever he is. Having this goal to aim for has really helped me find focus in the saddle and the school, and today has been so inspiring, making me want to get back out there again and see if we can add to the ribbon collection.

Sometimes you just need the simple things in life.....

If you're ever feeling overwhelmed and stressed out and like life is just so extra right now, try to find the little moments of peace and beauty to bring you back down to earth and allow yourself to appreciate the privilege of being able to do what we horsey lot do.....

Super proud of these two getting out to compete this week after a two year break! 🤩

We decided to keep it low key at Tumpy Green Equestrian & Competition Centre on Tuesday. Such a great venue for a first time out or when needing minimal pressure. Ben was a little fractious and missing his usual competition buddy (Binks) but Marie was determined to conquer the nerves and got on and rode her socks off 😍🤩🐎
