We’ve had a couple gradings take place over the last few weeks at Hansei Wadokai.
We tend to do gradings a bit different to the norm. With being such a small group, we grade as and when people are ready, even if that means just one person is grading!
Robert graded for his blue belt after absolutely nailing his kata after months of feedback and improvements. He showed a great range of techniques on the bag and didn’t shy away from sparring everyone in the dojo, including multiple 2 on 1 bouts 🥊
Then this week Ava graded to green belt. It was a super quiet session this morning and Ava decided she was in charge. She led the warm up and stretch, decided what we were doing next and led us all through the green belt kata with no hesitation! Everyone was very scared of her, I’ve never seen the group so quiet 😂
She beat us all up and so in the end there was no other way to end the session than to award her a long awaited green belt! 🥋
Keep working hard everyone, there’s a few other people we think are close to their next belts too 😀
