“Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day-in and day-out” Robert Collier

To make sustainable change and achieve your goal make sure you get the basics right and set the best base you can.

Make sure you are in a position to change your lifestyle habits for healthier options and you have the support of those around you and your coach. With this basis it will be much easier to work together to create a calorie deficit for weight loss.

Work from the most important aspects of your nutrition to fuel your training and your change. Get in touch with me to look at kickstarting your training over July.

As lockdown relaxes a little more and we wait for gyms to reopen, fingers crossed for July 🤞. I thought it would be awesome to highlight some of our friends and look at supporting small businesses out there. Ranging from some amazing prints, clothing and event planning. Go check out their pages and give them a follow.

Health And fitness isn’t limited to your sessions in the gym. Being conscious of your training and your nutrition through each day so you can achieve your goals.

What is most important though is to create balance. You should never feel guilty for having nice meal or having that wine or beer while on a zoom call with your friends. Enjoy a few treats here and there and then keep on track and grind in your sessions to be a balanced healthy you.

Stay consistent with your training trying to achieve the highest levels of non exercise activity through walking and maybe standing at your desk while working. Then work to achieve the outcome of each session to your highest level.

Reset run 🏃‍♂️ As my main races for this year have been cancelled/postponed I went out and just ran. No gps data, no speed work, or HR to go off. I don’t know how far exactly I went and I didn’t go particularly fast.

Sometimes you just have to remember why you train. Go out and enjoy your session and think about resetting yourself.

With no gyms and only one outdoor activity a day have you reset your goals or your mindset to what you are working towards in lockdown?

If you are exercising outside at the moment here is an important message to stay safe and be the athlete you want to meet from

In these times while we are training on our own it would be worth sticking to trails and routes you know and let someone know you are heading out for exercise and how long you may be.

We always want you to stay safe out there, but now is an especially important time to minimize risk and act thoughtfully. If you’re able to get outside, be the athlete you’d like to encounter on the road or trail: Go easy, observe social distancing regulations, encourage others from afar and rest assured that the time to push ourselves will come again in the future. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As athletes, we know that being active is good for our mental and physical health, especially in times of stress. Hammering that local climb or heading out for a long, hard run feels like the tonic we all need. We get it. But, with everything that’s going on, we need to support each other.⁣ ⁣⁣

Being part of the Strava community is a commitment to respect: we respect each other, ourselves and the rules. When we all share mutual respect, we all win. Please take the time to give our community standards a read. Link in bio.
