A new dressing on (he's still hanging in there and infection still at bay for now) from our besties at Wright & Morten Equine Clinic and a smart new clip from Marple Equine Services - Professional Groom before the next heatwave....

Might not be quite how we saw our summer, but he's still here and I'll take that for now. Love this boy to bits and hope he has one of his nine lives left x

Last night at home (again) before another trip to Wright & Morten Equine Clinic for B. Hoping we can find a way to clear the infection in his foot which has broken through oral antibiotics.

Send us all your hopes and good thoughts while we try to find a way forward. A thousand thanks to Sarah Wright who is giving up her day to take us while I can't drive the Bus.

Bit of pre season fun today....

How tall are my ponies?! I've never measured either of them before and did it today with the help of a friend's stick....

So, how tall is B? What about baby C?

And a bonus point (delayed til he's 7, so 3 years from now) for anyone who correctly guesses C's final height!

We might not be doing much in 2026 but we did join our friends in Endurance GB - Derbyshire Group for the Emerald Green Feeds Winter League!!

Our group topped the standings and got a mega 30 members submitting their forms.... Such a great way of keeping the motivation through the cold months and hopefully we'll be able to do some in hand work for next year, even if I can't ride then ❤️

8 days post my surgery and 17 days from his..... he is *definitely* making the faster recovery!

Really hoping I can figure out a plan to get him fit and running again over this season and into the winter -.I'm 9 months (minus 8 days) from being allowed into the tack again and he really will be bored by that time!

Anyone got recommendations for a good summer fly repellant that comes in a gel or cream?

B *will not* tolerate a spray. For midges Naf Extra Effect is awesome but its not great on bigger flies in midsummer.

We currently use a spray onto a cloth onto him but wondering if there is a better option
