Rothes Juniors Football Club - Glenrothes Rothes Juniors Football Club is a local youth football club based in Glenrothes. Open to children of all ages and abilities. Once again, many thanks.

Serving Glenrothes for almost 30 years, we still believe every child deserves the right to play 🔵🔴⚽️ Welcome to Rothes Juniors Football Club. Rothes Juniors Football Club was founded in the mid Nineties at Fife Institute where they still train and play, then known as Rothes Juniors soccer sevens by parents who wanted their children to play football without the added pressure of having to win. To this day the ethos remains at the club in the under 12 constitution and changes towards the ability and attitude for the over 12 constitutions. All the coaches at the club are Disclosure Scotland checked and will have the chance to attend further S.F.A. coaching courses to improve their experience. The club has a structured management committee in place with the correct number of coaches per team all of which helped us to become the first Scottish Football Association Quality Accredited club in Fife, Tayside and Aberdeenshire. The club runs a soccer school on Friday evenings. The club also has soccer seven teams and eleven-aside development teams in the Fife Football Development Leagues moving forward into the competitive Fife under 16 leagues. We hope you find this website interesting and enjoyable. Each age group have individual team pages that have information regarding training and games for their own teams. 🏆 LEAGUE CUP – GROUP GAME 5 🏆
⚽ Kelty Hearts Maroons v Rothes Juniors 🔴🔵

The day didn’t get off to the best of starts. Already missing two of our centre-halves through holiday and injury, we then lost Levi and Kai on the morning of the game, leaving us really stretched going into what we knew would be the toughest game of the group.
With the amount of goals Kelty had already scored in this tournament, we knew we would have to dig deep, work hard and defend well. The boys did exactly that and managed to keep Kelty out for almost the opening 15 minutes.
You could see why this Kelty side will do well in the top division this season. Unfortunately, things got even tougher for us when we picked up another two injuries inside the opening 20 minutes, leaving us with zero subs for the remainder of the game.
HT: Kelty 4–0 Rothes
The half-time message was simple: forget the score, keep fighting for every ball and don't give up.
Credit to every one of the boys because that’s exactly what they did. 👏🔴🔵
We created a couple of half chances in the second half and also had an opportunity from the penalty spot, but unfortunately we couldn’t take it.

A tough day at the office for everyone, but we knew beforehand how difficult this game was going to be. With the players we were missing and then losing another two during the game, the boys could easily have let their heads drop — but they kept going and gave everything right until the final whistle.
That’s all we can ever ask of them. ❤️💙
