A great start to our competitive swimming season today and we kicked it off with the EDAGS Kick Start Meet all weekend 💪🏊‍♀️

We had 27 swimmers come along to make a start to their season. Some fantastic swims with some swimmers taking off over 20s off of personal best times 🤩

Many swimmers getting EDAGs consideration and qualifying times which is an amazing achievement this early in the season. Well done to all the swimmers for showing resilience and being gutsy in their swims. More to take from today and lots of feedback given 🤩

Huge thanks to Helen, Iona, Lynsey Halley (her debut as Team Manager!), and Jason for being poolside.

As a fairly small club we had a huge amount of officials volunteering as well which is fantastic! Thanks to all the STOs as well 😊

⚫️🔴 GASC TRAINING DAY 🔴⚫️
Today we welcomed 8 swimmers who were selected for the Fife Area Squad. Unfortunately, this training day was cancelled at the beginning of the week.

GASC pulled together and managed to put on a special training day for the 8 swimmers so they werent missing out.

The day consisted of a 2 hour pool session focusing on skills and technique. The swimmers each had some underwater filming done as well.

After the pool session they had a classroom session about nutrition and goal setting.

Then it finished with a land session and finding out about your muscles.

A huge thanks to Helen and Jean-Marie for helping put this together, and the committee for supporting it.

The swimmers also went away with a GASC goodie bag 🤩🏊‍♀️👌
