On Sunday we had two teams travel down to Musselburgh for the Kenny Ritchie festival. Both teams gave their all and played some brilliant football. It's always great to travel outside Fife and face teams we don't play.

We always repeat it, but playing games is the most important part of a kid's development. It's a pleasure for us as coaches to be a part of it with this great group of kids.

Lots of goals and smiles, brilliant stuff.

Tuesday night football 🔴⚽⚫

Kirkcaldy was the opposition for our kids tonight as they brought two teams along to Overstenton tonight. Thanks to Kevin and the kids for making the trip along, great opposition.

Reds 🔴 and Blacks ⚫ both in action tonight. Lots of great goals, lots of enthusiasm from the kids and great effort. We say it all the time but games are where kids develop the most and we aim to get as many games in as we can.

Well done to Yuvi and Arlo on getting the opposition fair play cards 💪

Great match last night v Lomond Colts for our Reds 🔴 last night. Two well matched teams we always enjoy playing Lomond and it was the same last night. Lots of great goals and some fantastic football from both teams.

We kicked on in the second half with some great football played from the back at times. Lots of games coming up for the kids to continue to develop. Hope you all enjoyed the match.

Well done Viv on winning the fair play card, so unlucky not to get on the score sheet, played superb.

Last night our Blacks ⚫ played an in house friendly and big thanks to Greig and Adams kids for coming along. Was a great night with lots of goals and fun had, we love to see the kids playing with a smile on their face. Big well done to Yuvi who won the fair play card. Done great in goals on the first half and again outfield in the second half.

Matches are where kids develop and last night was a great opportunity for them to move forward with the ball. Hope you all enjoyed it.

⚫️ Blacks played Young Glens on Sunday at Warout. It was a hot one with the sun shining ☀️.

We played well in spells & had some nice attacks, shots, tackles & saves. We could work a wee bit more on moving towards the ball but the conditions definitely took their toll. We used these matches to help build resilience and continue to move the kids forward in their football journey

🔴Reds played Lomond Colts on Thornton in a cracking match where both teams were at it right from the start. Great goals, top defending and working well as a team. Roasting hot day and kids at the end form both teams gave it all. Always a great match and great hosts.

On Sunday the reds played Young Glens at Warout and it was a great game. Played them a few times this season and games are always competitive two good teams. Great hosts and opposition.

First half was very competitive, we scored first with a lovely passing move & finish by Thomas. Kids worked really hard, lots of great tackles, & some great saves from Arlo but we perhaps tired in last couple of minutes of the half.

2nd half, the first 10minutes of the half we again played really well & had a handful of chances but we didn’t seem to have our shooting boots on. Lots of great passing, but it just didn’t seem to go in. Last 5 they scored a few but it really was a good competitive game.

Blacks travelled to Cupar recently to play v AM Soccer

They started brightly with some strong running, good tackles and some brilliant saves from the goalkeepers. Game settled into a wee pattern but we kept trying, perhaps just before HT we got a wee bit tired & lost a bit of focus.

2nd half was much of the same, some really positive moments, we just need to put it altogether & do it for the duration of the game. Still plenty of smiles & good moments throughout.

More catching up 👌

Well down to everyone through at Bayview last Sunday
Lots of good football and loads of chances created. Did everything apart from get the bunch of goals they deserved. Lots of chances created against a great East Fife team and a great morning if football.
