What a beautiful morning!!!!
Its lovely to see some blue sky and see the park busy with runners, dog walkers, families playing at the park and individuals using the green gym

We were delighted to deliver our first Bikeability session with staff from Pitcoudie Primary School.

For some young people, this was their first experience of learning to cycle and we were impressed by their perseverance, a willingness to challenge themselves, independence. It was wonderful to see the pupil grow in confidence while developing independence and skills

This morning we have Jim, also known as Dr Bike giving our bikes the once over to make sure they are safe for use with our forthcoming Bikeability sessions with a local primary school.

We are very proud and delighted to be able to support children and young people in our immediate community to build the skills and confidence they need to cycle safely and responsibly. When we invest in their learning, we’re not just teaching road awareness — we’re helping create a future where active travel is safe, enjoyable, and accessible for everyone.

From mastering basic skills such as balance to understanding road signals, every step they take strengthens our community. Confident young cyclists grow into confident adults, and together we’re shaping safer streets, healthier habits, a more connected community and a stronger sense of independence.

A safer cycling community starts here — and continues with all of us. 🚲💛

Members of our Thank Goodness Its Friday Friendship Group had a busy afternoon with lots of different activities on offer.

Playing board games Uno and gaming are always popular choices

Here at The Hub we firmly believe that sports and physical activities should be available to everyone regardless of personal circumstances and ability and we try our best to adapt activities to ensure everyone can be included

This week we had something different on offer, Ross who leads our community based cycling project came in to deliver a session on bike maintenance and safety

Members learned how to carry out a M-check ensuring bikes were safe and efficient to use. Ross showed everyone how to carry out simple repairs like how to mend a puncture and blow up tyres

Ross will be coming in over the next few weeks to deliver more cycling related activities. We plan on getting out in the park on our bikes as long as the weather stays dry
