Glenrothes Tennis Club Glenrothes Tennis Club was formed in January 2012 to provide a much needed facility for tennis in Glenrothes. Membership is available to adults & children.

The club recommends that children under the age of 16yrs are supervised by their parents/carer whilst at this tennis venue and outside of any venue sessions, such as coaching lessons or tennis camps. Children under the agreed age of supervision should never be left unsupervised by a parent/carer even if there are other adult venue members or staff present. If the parent/carer is unable to supervise their child, arrangements need to be made by the parent/carer to designate an alternative adult to supervise. The venue and child must be aware of any such arrangements. Arriving and leaving a venue alone. Children under the age of 12yrs, attending for junior coaching should not be allowed to arrive at or leave the venue alone unless the club has written consent from the parent/carer. Our Charity number is SCO 44270. All activities take place at Auchmuty High School tennis courts, Dovecot Road, Glenrothes, KY7 5JL. Junior Tennis Coaching is on Tuesdays at 6pm for younger children with parents, and 7pm for more experienced juniors. Children can start from the age of 5 years. Cost: (as at April 2016)
members: £2.75 per class per child
non-members: £3 per class per child. Fees payable per block in advance. Equipment is provided. Adult Tennis Coaching is currently paused due to COVID-19 restrictions. Adult Social Tennis is on Mondays from 6pm and Sunday from 1pm, weather permitting. Men's Social Tennis is on Thursdays from 6pm, weather permitting. Ladies' Social Tennis is on Tuesdays from 6:30pm, weather permitting. The 4 courts are also available to members during the times they are booked for the club if they aren't being used for other activities such as those above. Mon 6-9pm

GTC SUCCESFUL FUNDING BID - Fife Council Clubs & Communities Summer of Sport Fund

EXCITING NEWS FOR THE YOUTH COMMUNITY OF GLENROTHES

We are excited to share that our Club has obtained a grant from Fife Council and their Active Communities Team. The grant will enable us to deliver an agreed programme of coaching and events to introduce Tennis to as many Juniors as possible in the Glenrothes area.

The programme will offer:

Free indoor coaching through Autumn and Winter, held on Tuesday evenings 6-8. Newcomers will be provided with their 'First Tennis Racquet' for FREE!

An outreach programme in partnership with our Coach Yvonne Blyth to provide free school sessions to the 17 Primary & 3 High schools in the Glenrothes area. We aim to raise awareness, interest and encourage under 18's to come and join our coaching sessions and the club.

3 Social Junior/Community Fun Sessions. with coaching on hand.

GOOD FUN HAD BY ALL AT OUR FREE JUNIOR FUN SESSION

We had a lovely evening of fun tennis on Tuesday evening.

Thanks to all who came to play, a great turnout with all 4 courts in use throughout the evening.

Think the snacks and drinks went down well!

We will be arranging further free sessions while the weather is kind, we will probably have the floodlights on at the next session.

Juniors fun tennis session this Tuesday 8th September

There are no junior coaching sessions this Tuesday, so instead all Juniors are invited to come all to a free fun session 6pm to 8pm at the courts. There will be free snacks and drinks too!

Anyone under 18 is welcome, including any newcomers that fancy trying out tennis. Parents you can have a go to, we have plenty of racquets and balls for you to join in the fun.

Congrats to Pittenweem who kept up their form and topped the league.👏👏👏

What a great and fun league this is. Well done to all participants for making this league so friendly and welcoming.

Great Tennis, great fun had by all.
