⚽ Match report Vs East Fife blacks
There's an early couple of corners for the Reds, as the lads make a bright and energetic start to the game. The Reds grab an early goal as Spencer scores from just inside the box. After a good bit of pressure from the Reds, and against the run of play, it's 1-1 as a free kick from East Fife goes over Connor into the net.
Some nice link up play from Arran, Campbell and Josh leads to a decent chance. With the lads looking strong, Spencer is clean through on the goalie from Mikey's looping ball over the top and it's 2-1.
East fife almost through but it's Harvey with some good classy defending as he cleans up at the back a couple of times. There's sustained Reds pressure, which occurred throughout the match. East Fife struggled to get out of their own half for big portions of the game. This leads to Spencer cutting in from the left and shooting into the corner for 3-1, from Mikey's nice pass.
Jayson made a good run, which almost led to another goal. Then a free kick from Spencer flashed across the goal. Spencer almost scores again as he hits one just wide.
Second half
A bit of a scrappy start to the second half, but after a corner Harvey shot from distance and it's just wide. East Fife then scored from a mix up in our defence, for 3-2. But then it's 4-2 as Campbell sends a good free kick in, which goes under the goalie's feet.
Jack then hits a nice shot from outside the box which hits the bar and goes over. There's more pressure from the Reds and Spencer sends one just wide.
From a corner Lewis puts it just over the bar from a volley. Then Spencer picks up the ball from Arran's throw in and goes on a superb mazey run through the defence and puts it around the goalie for 5-2.
There's a free kick on the edge of the box from Lewis but it's saved at the near post. The last goal of the game is for East Fife, and it finishes 5-3 to the Reds.
A strong performance from the lads, as they were the better team for most of the game and could easily have scored a few more!
