A massive congratulations to our **Senior County Team** on winning this year’s **Wigtownshire Senior League!** 🏆👏

A fantastic achievement and a brilliant team effort throughout the season. Everyone who has represented the County has played their part in bringing the title home.

Congratulations to Wigtownshire County Golf Club Senior team who won their match today to win the 2026 Wigtownshire Seniors League. In the photo the team are receiving the Winners Shield from the Wigtownshire President Malcolm Hughes. Well done to all the golfers who played in all the Wigtownshire Leagues this season.

🔥 NEW COURSE RECORD

64 FROM KYLE McCLUNG!

What a round at Wigtownshire County Golf Club today!

Home player Kyle McClung produced an incredible 6-under-par 64 in the Luce Bay Rose Bowl, setting a NEW COURSE RECORD! 🏆

It didn’t get off to the perfect start with a bogey at the 1st, but Kyle responded brilliantly firing 7 birdies over the remaining 17 holes and not dropping another shot all day.

🏆 Total: 64 (-6)
🐦 7 Birdies

The 64 beats the previous course record of 65, a record Kyle himself shared with three other players.

To go out today and lower that record by another shot around his home course is a fantastic 👏🔥

A message from PIRSAC...

Just a quick email on behalf of the Directors, Crew and Volunteers here at PIRSAC to say a massive thank you for the incredibly generous donation of £700 from the Wigtownshire County Golf Club from last week's Texas Scramble. Also a big shout to all the members and players who raised another £382.56 from the raffle and donations.

The grand total of £1082.56 is an amazing amount and will allow us to keep on providing the valuable service to the community.

Once again on behalf us all at PIRSAC a huge thank you and all the members and players at Wigtownshire County Golf Club

⛳️ PIRSAC CHARITY TEXAS SCRAMBLE – THANK YOU! 🚤❤️

A fantastic day at Wigtownshire County Golf Club supporting PIRSAC – Port William Inshore Rescue Service and the incredible, lifesaving work they do in our local community.

We’re delighted to announce that £700 from the proceeds of today’s competition has been donated to PIRSAC. 👏

On top of that, a fantastic amount was raised through the raffle, taking the total raised today to over £1,000! 🎉💷

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who played, donated, bought raffle tickets, supplied prizes and helped make the day such a success. Your support goes towards a local independent rescue service whose volunteers are there when people need them most.
