You accept failure in the gym, because you know it's optimal for growth. So why run from it everywhere else? 🤔

Failure gets a bad reputation 😡

People

❌ Avoid it
❌ Fear it
❌ Hide from it

But then you walk into a gym 💪

And suddenly failure is the goal 😁

✅ You push until the weight won’t move
✅ You go until your muscles burn
✅ You chase that last rep knowing full well you might not get it

Because you understand something in that environment that most people forget everywhere else 🤔

That’s where growth happens 📈

No one gets stronger by staying comfortable ❌
No one builds muscle by stopping when it’s easy❌

So why do we live the rest of our lives like that?

Why do we avoid taking risks 😬
Avoid trying new things 😬
Avoid putting ourselves in positions where we might fail? 😬

Because outside the gym

☹️ failure feels personal
☹️ It feels like judgement
☹️ It feels like proof that we’re not good enough

But it’s not.

👊 Failure is feedback
👊 It shows you what works and what doesn’t
👊 It forces you to adapt, improve, and come back better

Every successful person you look up to has failed more times than most people even try

The difference is… they didn’t run from it

They used it

So start treating life the same way you treat your training.

✅ Stop avoiding failure.
✅ Start learning from it.
✅ Start growing through it.

Failure isn’t the opposite of success 🏆

It’s part of the process.

Determination | Discipline | Commitment 🥋

Rishan is one of our new black belt candidates.

At just 8 years old, he is already showing more determination, discipline and commitment than most adults show in their day-to-day life.

Here are just some of the things he’s doing to prepare for his black belt grading ⬇️

✅ Early morning workouts before school (every day)
✅ Practising martial arts techniques daily at home
✅ Training up to 3 times per week (classes, black belt sessions & bootcamps)
✅ Cut out ALL sugar (we actually had to persuade him to enjoy some chocolate on Easter Sunday!)
✅ Running 1–2 times per week (3K–5K)

Today, Rishan hit a new PB on his 5K run… 32:11 💥

There were a few tears
It got tough

But instead of quitting
He pushed through

He overcame the negative emotions and kept going, exactly what a true black belt does.

Now, some people reading this might think…
“Isn’t that too much for an 8-year-old?”

I strongly disagree.

Because what he’s really building isn’t just fitness…
It’s a mindset.

And that mindset will shape his entire life 👇

✅ At 16 when he’s sitting his exams he’ll have focus, discipline and work ethic far beyond most of his peers.
While others panic, he’ll stay calm, prepared and in control.

✅ At 18 While others are still searching for direction, he’ll have confidence, resilience and the courage to chase big goals.

✅ At 25 He’ll be physically strong, mentally resilient and miles ahead in his habits and discipline.
While others struggle with consistency, he’ll already have mastered it.

✅ At 55 He’ll still be benefiting from the habits he built as a child. Healthy, Driven, Mentally strong, Living a life most people wish they had.

This is what martial arts is really about.

Not just kicks and punches…
But building future adults who are strong, disciplined and unstoppable.

The habits we build in our children today…
become the life they live tomorrow.

Keep up the great work Rishan we are all very proud

Don't teach your kids to FIGHT. Teach them this instead.

Self Defence is not fighting you are trying to keep yourself safe and create distance from you and the attacker.

Fighting your goal is to hurt your opponent, your goal is to win

Which one should kids be taught ?
