A reminder, we are showing Scotland V Morocco tomorrow evening in the second World Cup Group game.

We all enjoyed a fantastic night last week watching the victory over Haiti, and hope to see many more join us again tomorrow evening!

GBC LOSE AWAY AT KINNOULL.

Our PDL team faced Kinnoull tonight in our latest Perth and District League match.
In a very tight game that went down to the wire, it was our friends from Kinnoull emerging victorious with a 4-3 win.
Mark’s rink won and Jordan’s and Tony’s rinks lost out but thankfully we finished ahead on shots to clinch that vital extra point.
Well done to Kinnoull and hard lines to our GBC lads.

LADIES AND SENIORS UPDATES.

After a really strong winning run our Ladies suffered home defeats versus Bridge of Earn on Thursday night and against Perth West End last night. On Thursday Maureen and Anne triples both lost and last night it was Maureen and Mary. Hard lines Ladies but still lots to play for and well done to BOE and PWE.
It was the turn of our Senior Triples to try and keep a winning run going and win they did with an excellent away victory at Longforgon this afternoon.
Gary’s triple won both matches and Barney’s 3 won one game a secured a draw in the other.
Hard lines to Longforgon and well done to our GBC Gents on an excellent 4 1/2 to 1/2 victory.

BLAIR IS GOING TO BE BUSY AT AYR!

A huge well done to GBC’s Blair Gourlay as he booked yet another place in the National Championships at Ayr.
After his success in qualifying with GBC’s Four in Fridays final, he had a busy Sunday ahead with a semifinal and final scheduled.
We are delighted to report that Blair booked another place at Ayr emerging victorious by winning the Under 25 Singles Championship today.
Well done Blair, we are all delighted and very proud. Hard lines to the losing semifinalists and runner up but great to see young Perthshire Bowling so strong. 👏👏

BAR OPEN THIS AFTERNOON.

Just a wee reminder to Members and guests that our bar will be open today (Sunday) from 3pm to 6pm.
If you fancy an afternoon tipple with a game of bowls, darts, dominoes or pool then get along to the club where you will also be be guaranteed a warm welcome.

Best of luck to Blair today as he represents GBC in the Bowls Scotland Under 25 singles today.
With his semifinal v Inchture at Pitlochry scheduled for 11am and then the final scheduled in the afternoon we wish him all the very best. 🤞🤞🤞

TWO OUT OF THREE AINT BAD!

Whilst we would have loved for GBC to win all 3 finals today, it wasn’t be.
First up this afternoon was Alfie, Sam, Rab and Mark in the senior Fours final against Bankfoot and it was one played, a strong victory and our first team through to the Nationals at Ayr.
Tonight we had our fab young Four of Craig, Blair, Jordan and Tony facing Dunning for the berth at Ayr and thankfully our Lads played well and won up there game with a textbook victory.
Still on the green and the last final to conclude were our Triple of Alfie, Gary and Mark playing Stanley. In a tight game it was the Stanley lads that prevailed for a deserved win.
So, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad and once again we have a string Glencarse presence representing our village club on the National stage!
Well done to our GBC winners and to the Stanley triple, hard lines to our triple, to Dunning and Bankfoot but well done in making it to the final.

GBC LADIES LOSE OUT AT HOME!

After an excellent run of form, our girls lost out on our own patch last night against a strong Bridge of Earn team.
Both Anne’s and Maureen’s triple lost out.
Well done to BOE and hard lines GBC.

GBC TEAMS AT BOWLS SCOTLAND DISTRICT FINALS TOMORROW.

There will be a fest of finals to feast on tomorrow at Invergowrie BC as results will determine which teams go on to the National Finals at Ayr.
At 2pm we have our Senior 4 of Alfie, Sam, Rab and Mark facing Bankfoot in the final.
At 6.45pm we have both our 4 of Craig, Blair, Jordan and Tony facing Dunning as well as our Triple of Alfie, Gary G and Mark facing Stanley.
We wish our lads all the very best and hope some of our members get along to support them. 🤞
