Preparing to enter the Cabana.

For purification.

Reflecting on our lives, what we want to let go of. Where there is room for more love.

Calling in our guides, guardians and spirits of the land to assist us in our evolution to a more soul centric life.

Asking for the armour around our hearts to soften.

For the wounds we carry from battle and war to heal.

To unwind the conditioning of our society.

To feel the presence and love of the brotherhood.

To be seen in our unique essence.

Remembering why we are here at this junction in time.

To be in service to each other, the women, children, animals, mother earth and all beings. Seen and unseen.

This is the ritual.

May it ripple out deeply into the web of life.

Ever since I can remember I have loved being in the mountains.

I wonder if you too feel that unique connection?

Where you can feel the power of the minerals, elements, birds circle high above, the clouds roll in and out, temperatures rise and fall.

There is a vast strength and spirit that resides there.

Everything is weathered and in its perfect place.

The veil feels thin, like you are closer to God. Space and time seem to have a different quality, particularly at altitude.

These places hold ancient memories.

It’s no wonder throughout human history, across many civilisations there have been stories involving sacred pilgrimages to the mountains.

Think Moses at Sinai, Shiva at Kailash, the gods and goddesses of Mount Olympus.

I have been reading a lot lately about the high Andean traditions of Peru and their connection to the spirits of the mountains they refer to as Apu’s. Who serve as protectors and guardians.

How each mountain spirit has its own unique, undomesticated voice. A power that watches over and holds sacred space.

They talk about the relationship that can be forged with the Apu by offering prayers, objects and blessings in return for protection and guidance. Honouring the spirit with love. Honouring beyond our limited perception.

This speaks deeply to me.

These beings have a divine masculine energy that feels like a loving father.

I’m sure they are holding space for what is currently rippling through the world.

Their presence has been here long before we were and will be long after we have gone.

Last weekend I spent the weekend in Wales diving deep into what it means to die. To welcome death in as a benevolent friend.

We danced, grieved, cried, laughed all while being held so beautifully by pachamama.

We sat with many powerful plants, the waters, the medicine of movement and the lineage of

There was a lot to take away, many insights into death. Which also I found meant many insights into life.

As I now see life is the ceremony for death.

If there are any parts of myself saying no to death, then I also realise there are parts of me saying no to life.

It’s so interesting to see the death we are all facing in our individual lives, in the ancestral lines, in the societal constructs. In this time of great change and remembrance.

What I learned from digging and spending a night in my own grave was the following.

- Death is an old friend

- To live fully we must embrace death fully

- Choose your truth in its entirety over that of the ‘normal’ worldly path

- I do not need to hold anything, as I am held by pachamama

- Surrender and letting go can be found in the breath

- I am here to hold people through their loss and pain, therefore have much more work to do with grief and the heart

- We have so many resources to call upon in the unseen realms to support us at any time

One of man’s deepest desires I believe is to be fully seen for who you truly are with loving presence.

To take off all the masks and protection.

To be open hearted and vulnerable in your truth, and be met with love.

Maybe the opposite of what the world teaches us. Although I would argue this is also one of our deepest lessons and journeys to embark on.

Returning to our hearts truth and letting it be witnessed by the world.

By our partners, our family, our colleagues.

One of the most profound moments from my last mens retreat in Wales was getting to be in the presence of other brothers being fully witnessed by each other.

To see another man, feel his presence, his wounds, his scars, the parts that annoy you, the parts that make you laugh, the parts that inspire you…

To see and feel it all with only love.

Love for him as a fellow brother on exactly the same path.

This has the potential for profound healing.

Especially for the parts of us that are always there on guard looking for any opportunity to protect us from not being right, enough, worthy…

Brotherhood is medicine.

And as a wise person once told me, you don’t have to like everything about another, but you should bring love to everything.

Be angry if you must but never throw someone out of your heart.

Why are portals so important? Why have humans pilgrimaged for eternity to these sacred places…

The following has been becoming clear to me and is a fairly recent awakening in this life’s journey.

They store information and are gateways to other realms, other dimensions. Like a door way into another world. Often worlds we have lived in and experienced. Perhaps living in simultaneously. Deep reminders of spirit, magic and love.

They are so important in helping us remember the game we are in. Like clues in the quantum field.

We descended from source to the 3D perhaps to learn deep compassion and how to raise our consciousness through alchemising the lower vibrations both individually and collectively.

I have heard it said other beings in higher dimensions marvel at how we take on this challenge…

It’s the ultimate game. To enter deep amnesia and start to awaken on a collective scale to who we truly are. Thus having to navigate the laws of the 3D game, the ego, separation etc.

We are now ascending back up through the dimensions I feel and these powerful portal spots assist us so much.

Opening up our experience to past lives (although time is an illusion and is one of the rules of the game in the 3d) to other beings on different channels, to energies and information we may have left in the other dimensions to help guide us back.

This also comes with challenges around what is there to help us and what is trying to keep us stuck in the 3D. Deep lessons in how to navigate the other realms..

They are fascinating parts of the game. Like when we left source and agreed to the rules, we made sure to keep some hidden clues on how to get back.

How fun it is to forget who we truly are, the game back to source is so fascinating.

As we continue to heal and raise our level of consciousness I feel with greater certainty in my own experience that these sacred places will play a very important role.

Healing and growth in life often requires us to let go.

Letting go of old familiar patterns, identities, subconscious beliefs, energies.

Letting go of habits, people, behaviours that no longer serve and empower us.

Letting go can be one of the most challenging things for us to face, as archetypally It often symbolises death.

A stepping forward into the unknown (something our western culture feeds off us not being initiated into)

In my experience and those I work with letting go can happen much more smoothly when deep safety and love is present.

Finding safe spaces, healers, other brothers and sisters on the same path to help hold this is crucial.

Faith is also another important component.

Faith in that following love and truth will ultimately serve you and those connected to you.

Faith in soul, the universe, great spirit, god..,

That by letting go and allowing love and truth to lead can initially be extremely painful.

It is the only path left to take that eventually leads us to fulfilment and freedom.
