It's only six weeks until our Fall Brawl - but what exactly is it?
BMAC is a not-for-profit, community-focussed club and 2026 marks our 40th birthday. Every two years the club holds an endurance challenge for good causes. We always choose a charity that is in some way connected to our membership.
Having previously supported the MS Society and Kidney Research UK, this year we have chosen the Beatson Cancer Charity, in support of one of our members who lost his dad to cancer.
Our nine-hour challenge consists of warm-ups, training sessions led by our black belts, then a cooldown and stretch. Everyone gets to practise a wide variety of skills and our junior members are included too, with a high-energy hour-long session.
The day is a celebration of martial arts, and anyone who donates can join us for a beginner-friendly lesson. This community spirit is what our Fall Brawl is all about - using martial arts as a way to come together to support a cause that matters.
So many of us know someone affected by cancer. In 2023, 37,202 new cases of cancer were registered in Scotland. The Beatson Cancer Charity is there so that people and families affected by cancer do not have to face it alone.
Please visit our JustGiving page to donate to this great cause. We would really appreciate your support as we try to smash our target - every donation can make a huge difference
