Chopping and changing is why you’re stuck.

Having the right plan is important.

Something that works for your routine, lifestyle and goals.

But changing the plan any time things feel hard isn’t the answer.

I see lots of people fall into this trap.

“Maybe I’ll try that shiny new diet or gym programme to try and fix my consistency.”

When the real solution was to commit to being more consistent with what they were already doing.

And consistency requires a level of commitment.

A level of prioritisation.

And without this even the perfect plan won’t get you the results you’re after.

Sometimes what you need is a better plan.

Sometimes you need to commit more fully to the plan you have.

Food for thought.

If you want the best for those around you,

Then you have to make yourself a priority.

Trust me I understand the instinct to be completely self sacrificing.

I feel it myself now more than ever.

But it’s not working the way you think it is.

The fast food choices.

The skipping the gym.

For life around you to flourish, you have to flourish.

It’s not selfish. It’s what’s best.

I’m not talking about missing family dinner time to get a workout in.

I’m not saying you should never make a food choice out of sheer convenience.

And of course other things in life are important and fitness won’t be your absolute top priority.

What you do need is a plan that takes into account your lifestyle and routine.

Something that allows you to keep prioritising yourself while also focusing on the things in life that matter most to you.

Then once you have that you can show up with more energy, more confidence and more enthusiasm.

Stop neglecting yourself.

Your goal IS NOT to get in shape…

It’s to BE in shape.

It is possible to actually feel good year round.

And not just for a few weeks in July.

You need a plan that stops you from sacking things off as soon as the holiday is done.

That’s the key to avoid undoing all the hard work you’ve just put in 💯

The goal wasn’t to lose 20kg.

The goal was to stop hating what she saw in the mirror.

The goal was to stop feeling anxious about what pictures would be shared from the night out.

The goal was to no longer dread summer spent sweating through layers that “cover up the fat”.

This girl has lost 20kg,

But what she gained was freedom.

Freedom to go places and do things and feel comfortable in her own skin.

Maybe it’s a dress on a night out, a new gym set or a bikini on the beach.

Or maybe it’s just going through each day feeling more energised and confident regardless of what she was doing.

And while I’m incredibly proud to have coached her through this, the credit belongs to her.

She showed up.

She trusted the process.

She kept going on those tougher days and weeks.

This isn’t just a weight loss transformation.

It’s a life changing confidence transformation.

And she earned every bit of it.

On to the next phase 💪

Flexible dieting….

Yeah you burn some energy in the gym.

Ofcourse you do.

But using calories burned as a measure of how effective your workout is isn’t ideal.

And “fat burning workouts” is just a BS marketing ploy.

Instead lift weights while focusing on building strength, getting fit and moving better.

The knock on effect of this will be so much better for your progress in the gym and your body goals 🫡

“I look horrible”

“I’m really disappointed I’ve let myself get into that state”

These are the exact words this girl said to me 11 weeks ago.

Self conscious, hiding under baggy clothes, avoiding mirrors and hated getting photos taken.

But in less than 3 months she is in a totally different place.

She has dropped 20lbs of body fat in that time.

She has found enjoyment in the gym again and is loving seeing her strength go up every week.

She is setting future goals around muscle building and performance that I cant wait to help her get stuck into!

You know, progress doesn’t happen over night.

But with the right plan, accountability and some hard work - you are just a few months away from looking and feeling so much better.
